Hello everyone! It was a pretty good week last week, with a good doctor’s visit for Wyatt. Today I have to mega clean the house, and then later my nieces and brother and SIL are coming over to hang out. I am looking forward to seeing them!
Read Last Week:

I read Seacrow Island, which I absolutely loved, and I also read another in the Campers and Criminals series. Seacrow Island made me want to find an island in the Baltic Sea to summer on with my family. It put me in mind of The Penderwicks and also of Winter Cottage by Carol Ryrie Brink in some ways.
Reading This Week:

This week I feel like reading something a bit weird, but also wanting to finish up a few I had started earlier this summer. I will be reading Chlorine, hopefully finishing Otter Country, and then making some headway into Pat of Silver Bush.
Posted Last Week:

Top Ten Tuesday: Books Set in Japan
Friday Morning Coffee Catch Up
What We Are Watching:
We finished up The Great Canadian Pottery Throw Down, and watched a few episodes of Brokenwood that we have already seen. I would like to start from the very beginning again so I might have to do that on my own. Not sure I can get Billy to commit to that. We also watched The Haunted Mansion, and a movie called Finding You, which was yes, a bit cheeseball, but I absolutely loved it for how Hallmark it felt. Sometimes you just need that, and last night I definitely needed it. Plus it had Saoirse-Monica Jackson in it and I love her. It actually could have had more of her in it honestly. The setting itself was absolutely gorgeous, a small coastal town in Ireland.
Around the Interwebs:
I am planning on catching up on commenting on blogs this week! It’s my big blog goal. I am all about catching up around here. And while I do that, I am also thinking about fall and fall movie watching. And Comfy Cozy Cinema!
And I think that is it from me today! I hope that whatever you do today, you do something that makes you smile!
Was it the newer Haunted Mansion movie? I really enjoyed that one! Looks like you got some good books read and have some good ones coming up. Glad Wyatt is doing okay! Have a great week!

I don’t think I ever read a Saltkrokan (that’s what it’s called here) book, but we loved the TV show and like to laugh like Stina – she always goes haHA in the German dubbing and we love it. It’s a sweet show.

I should try the Campers and Criminals series since we do a lot of RVing. The author of Seacrow Island sounded familiar. Just figured out she wrote Pippi Longstocking!
Have a great week.

They are really quick, easy reads.
Yes! I really liked this one. I was concerned I wouldn’t because I didn’t like Pippi as a kid. Lol.

It’s always good to see what you’re reading and watching! I haven’t finished the last season of the British Throw Down so I’ll wait a bit to find the Canadian one. We started the new season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.” Mike just loves this franchise though I always thought I was the bigger Trekkie in the house! I finished another book in some trilogy. I think you’d rate it the spiciest pepper ever. I mean, Erin, I seriously learned some things…not that I’m using them (or even could for that matter)! I hope Wyatt continues to improve every day and that you and Billy are getting some rest. How’s the library coming?

I was just thinking the other day that we should introduce Wyatt to Star Trek. I was more of a Star Wars kid than Star Trek but I feel like Star Wars has gotten out of control. Lol.
LOL! What would that be, like a ghost pepper?
We are trying to get rest. We had such a good time last night with my family. We really needed that social time, and we didn’t even know it until we had it.

I’d like to read Winter Cottage. I think I’ll finally get a copy for this winter.
Looks like some very relaxed reads mixed in there.
Hope you have fun family time today!

Glad to hear things are going well for Wyatt. It has to cool down for me to get excited about cozy. Although I am drinking hot tea this summer in the mornings. I am ready for summer heat to be over but there’s probably at least a month or 6 weeks of it left. Stay cool!

Yes, things are getting better and easier, thank goodness!
Yeah, I think I am wishful thinking. Today we have a heat advisory and the thought of fall is just still so far away, even though I want to be in the cozy frame of mind. I will have to settle for summer cozy, whatever that is. I am soo over this heat and humidity!

We ended up staying an extra day in North Texas this weekend, and I helped a friend yesterday at the hospital, and I’m way behind. I love the sound of Seacrow Island. If you find that spot in the Baltic, please let me know!
