Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
Hello everyone!! I don’t have very many bookish goals honestly, just a few. And here they are!
Goal One: Visit more independent booksellers! We had so much fun at the end of last year seeking these out and shopping at indie local bookstores, and I want to continue on with that this year.

Goal Two: Continue using our local library! We have the best library, and it is one of Wyatt’s favorite places to go.

Goal Three: Have fun with my reading tracking!

Goal Four: Grow my Bookstagram/Instagram and TikTok. (if you have an account and don’t mind helping me out, follow me here and here!)
And those are my goals for the year!
Have a good one everyone! Whatever you today, try to do one thing that makes you smile!
Great goals Erin! I love the photos of the bookshops. I’ve followed you on Instagram – I’m @portybelle there.

It’s been fun trying to find them! We even visited one while we were on a trip, and it turned out to be one of the most fun things we did on that vacation. Lol.

I love this! Those photos from bookstores are incredible. I’m hoping to get to visit some great indie stores this year, too. We finally have one in the town where I live, so I’ll definitely be going there. 🙂 Here is my TTT list of goals.

Those sound like great goals! I don’t usually set many book/reading goals either but I just try to make sure I’m enjoying lots of great books mostly for free through our library. 😊

Thanks Joanne! And the library is the way to go. I am saving my “receipts” this year because I am going to totally nerd out and track how much I saved from using the library.

Good luck, I think they sound manageable! Unless Tiktok gets banned ofcourse.

Visiting more indie bookstores and using the library more are both great goals! I get most of my reading that way.

We do too! We love our library! I do need to patronize indie bookstores more to buy books though, and not rely on Amazon as much.

I really need to patronize them more. Amazon does not need my money, but the woman who owns the store in my town does! And thank you – I followed you back as well!

Good luck with your goals. I’m glad you and Wyatt enjoy your local library so much. It’s always wonderful when you have access to a good one. I’m already following you on Instagram after you followed my page last week but I’ll try to watch out for your posts on there. I’d help with TikTok but I’m not on there. Good luck though 🥰

Thank you Charlotte! You reminded me that I needed to go back and respond to some comments on there! LOL. Sometimes I read them and then get interrupted by a certain small someone before I reply.
Wyatt is so funny at the library. Whenever we enter he says (more loudly than I like) Yay books!

Lol well I’m glad I helped remind you then 😂 I can understand that. I’m not sure if it’s the easiest notification system to keep track of either 🤔
Aww that’s sweet. Its lovely that he likes books and I’m sure they don’t mind that kind of reaction there given the book enthusiasm involved.

Some libraries really put 100% into what they offer! We just love ours too.

In addition to the “publishing” aspect of my blog, I should lean more into the creative side. Seeing your jour reading tracking pages reminded me of the social media trend that is “junk journaling” and I feel like I should start to do some things that aren’t just related to writing on the computer. I do sometimes write a review first in a notebook by hand and I surprisingly find I do like it. 🙂

I am really interested in the junk journaling thing. It sounds really fun!
I am so old school. I love to do things by hand and love pens and markers and paper. Lol. I worked in a stationery store all through college so I guess it makes sense.

Erin is going to go TikTok famous! whoot!
And I also want to go to more indie bookstores. We have to travel an hour or more to get to any, but I am going to try to make that a goal this spring and summer.
I also want to have more fun with my reading tracking this year.

As you know, the thing about goals is they need to be attainable. These seem quite good…especially visiting local bookstores. I need to scout some out. Actually, I need to take a road trip and visit some with you and Wyatt! I love the ones you find!

Us either lol. I am hoping to find one this weekend though – we have to take a ride to a city an hour away to pick up some Scout stuff. Maybe there will be a cool bookstore nearby!

Excellent goals, Erin. I do love a good independent bookstore — and I mean a good one, a big one that really knows what their people like and caters to it with a good selection.

Thanks Jeanie!! Ooo do you know of any in Lansing? Maybe Wyatt and I could go to one when we go back to camp this year!

I don’t do TikTok, but I do look around on IG most days (although I rarely post), so I followed you over there. I’m looking forward to your posts.

Me too! There was this one in northern Michigan that I absolutely adored; the last time we went up there it was gone. 😦 It made me so sad!
