Top Ten Tuesday – Unread Books On My Shelves I Want To Read Soon

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Last week’s prompt about book characters we would want to vacation with was a lot of fun! This week’s prompt is about that old TBR we all have. I don’t have actual books waiting on shelves, as I don’t buy a lot of books for myself anymore – my book budget is mainly used on my son these days. But I do keep an actual written by hand list in my reading journal, which is what I used to make this post! Since there are tons of books on my list, I definitely paid more attention to the “want to read soon” part.

The Mermaid in the Millpond || Narrowboat Summer

Wildwood Magic || Under the Whispering Door

Gladwynn Grant Takes Center Stage || Flowers and Foul Play

The Travelling Cat Chronicles || Murder at the Mousetrap

This Wicked Fate || You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight

It’s kind of all over the place! Horror, YA, MG, cozy mysteries, magical realism, literary fiction, contemporary fiction.. it’s all here. This is actually a pretty good representation of all of my favorite genres!

Have you read any of these?

  1. I don’t think any of these are familiar to me, BUT I think it’s fun that your list is all over the place. Makes it more interesting for the list, and hopefully in storytelling too when you’re able to read these. Hope you enjoy them all! Thanks a bunch for visiting my website this week.

  2. I have a very bad habit of buying a bunch of books and then not reading them. I could probably have written a top 100 list! I see several of yours that are on my TBR and I really love the look of Murder at the Mousetrap.

  3. This is an awesome list, and I love that it’s all spread out across genres, since it’s a lot like my reading taste is. I really loved Wildwood Magic and This Wicked Fate, and hope you enjoy those two books as much as I did!

      1. That happens to me too, especially with a second book in a series. I also procrastinate reading the last book in a series I really enjoy because I hate saying goodbye to the story and the characters.

I read and enjoyed You’re Not Supposed to Die Tonight! It has the old-school slasher movie feel that I grew up with. 🙂
