The first Wednesday of the month is the Currently link up and I’m linking up for the first time with Jennifer after I saw this on Dara’s blog Not in Jersey. This month’s prompt words are loving, looking forward to, buying, planting, and cleaning.
Loving:
Orange Ginger Turmeric Tea
All the fun art projects I am doing with my son and husband
Planning field trips
Fun nail colors
Longer days of sunshine (or even the gray clouded skies – better than the early darkness of winter!)
Looking forward to:
More walks outside
Getting a massage
Buying:
I recently bought a vintage Chataqua industrial art desk for my son to use for drawing and art projects. It was a great deal and I love it. I have a vintage desk so I thought it was neat for him to have one as well. Plus as a homeschool family I just loved the history of it. He doesn’t need to use it all the time or very often, but it is a cool piece to have – and we got a great deal on it!!
Planting:
Nothing yet, sadly.
Cleaning:
We are overhauling my son’s room, so we are going through and getting rid of things he no longer plays with or fits into. It’s a process, he wants to keep everything! Lol.
How about you? What are you loving, looking forward to, buying, planting, or cleaning?
That tea sounds amazing. But not as amazing as your desk! That’s a fabulous find!

The tea is Kroger brand. It is so good that I drink multiple cups a day. Lol. That desk! I love it so much. It was a Facebook Marketplace find. The guy selling it cleans up after estate sales or something like that and was selling it for a song. I looked them up online after we got ours to read more about them and was shocked at some of the prices! We lucked out with it, so I think it was meant to be!

The tea sounds really good! I got myself a tea advent calender around Christmas and there were so many yummy varieties. Cleaning kids rooms is a never ending task. My son had a gift for suddenly playing with something we were about to throw away. Without fail as soon as I decided it was time to get rid of something it would suddenly be his very favorite thing!

It is so good! And a tea advent calendar sounds perfect. I need to look for one of those this year!!
And oh my gosh. That is Wyatt. There will be something I know he hasn’t played with in a year and all of a sudden he has to play with it and he can’t live without it. Lol.

Oh I remember those days of trying to get my boys to part with their “treasures!” It was always such a process to clean and organize everything and I had one that never wanted to get rid of anything. That is a lovely desk.

Lol that is Wyatt, the not wanting to get rid of anything! We made some good headway today – the only obstacle is books. I have a feeling I am going to have to add a bookcase to the basement for the books he won’t get rid of. Lol.
And thank you!

That “one” I was talking about has 3 overflowing bookcases in his room and a few stacks of books around. Now that they’re teens I let their rooms be as messy as they want (as long as they don’t leave food/ dishes/ etc. hanging around that could cause ants or anything) I just try not to go into them. 😊

Lol! That is probably a good idea. I will remember that!
And it is so hard when it is books. Probably because I have had similar book messes in my life… lol.

I’ve been loving the longer days even though I love the shorter, cozier days of winter. I’ve also been loving seeing the leaves coming out on my rose bushes! I was worried they wouldn’t make it through the winter. I’m looking forward to planting things out on the hump. I’ve been buying things I shouldn’t…body creme that is so daggone expensive but worth every penny but resisted buying any new shoes I’ve been cleaning my closet, trying to force myself to get rid of some things.
Wyatt’s desk is amazing! I remember, years and years ago, trying to find an antique secretary desk. I finally had to settle for a new one that wasn’t at all what I wanted though I still have it.
I really need to drink more tea and less Diet Coke!

My David Austin roses come this month! I got an update that they will be here soon! Yay!! I know I am going to miss those cozy days…right about August I will be yearning for fall and winter. Good body creme is definitely worth it.
And thank you! I was so excited about it! He is going to outgrow it soon but I will just move it to my office then because it is so cool. Lol.

Thank you!!! I was very excited about it, and so is Wyatt! Well, he is not as excited about the vintage part as me, but he is about having a special place to draw!

I love the desk! Good luck with the cleaning. I’m slowly doing the same thing with my closet. I have so much stuff in there that I can barely open the door.

Oh we have a closet like that too. I need to get to it….eventually. Lol.

What a lovely desk! I use a modern one for work but I have an antique one for all my inks and notepads and bits and bobs upstairs. We are doing a lot of cleaning out of the last top room in the house – it’s now a room with some stuff in rather than a room of stuff, so progress!
