Last week was pretty much consumed with our first week back to school, which was a very good first week. And when we weren’t working, we were avoiding the outdoors due to the high ragweed pollen count, which we are both allergic to. Today looks to be rainy, which will be better for our allergies but not as good for playing outside. I guess we can’t win them all! However, the rainy day will be nice to get cozy and relax, which all of us need to do.
Read Last Week:

So, My Best Friend’s Exorcism. Hmm. This book was..weird. I did enjoy the friendship and the 80s references though. Full review coming soon. However, I am really enjoying This Poison Heart! I am almost finished and it is delightful!
Reading Next:

I’m apparently stuck in YA land and honestly that is ok. As an Agatha fan myself, I am looking forward to this one.
Reading With Wyatt:

We are starting our new read aloud this week! This is a new to me book too so we will see how it goes!
Posted Last Week:
Homeschool Journey: The First Week Back
Book Review: A Botanist’s Guide to Parties and Poisons
Watching and Listening:
We finished up Only Murders in the Building, which was fantastic and I wish the seasons were longer! We moved on to some Murdoch, then last night we watched Locke and Key Season 3. I heard this is going to be the last season, which bums me out. Tonight we are planning on watching our next spooky cinema movie, The Addams Family. I have seen it before, but it was ages ago. I am looking forward to it!
As for listening, hmm. This week I couldn’t really settle on any podcasts for some reason. My brother did recommend one though that I think I will start this week, called The Prancing Pony, which is about – you guessed it- the world of Tolkien.
And this short and sweet post is it for today! How are you doing?
Sounds like a great week. The Agathas looks good to me. Enjoy your week.

I’m sure things have sped up with the start of school. It looks like you are having a lot of fun with homeschooling, and that’s fantastic.
Thanks for sharing a little about Poison Heart. The Agathas looks great, too.
I’m sad Murders in the Building is over for the season, too. We’ve started watching Modern Family and it is hitting the spot for us.

Yes our first week was wonderful! I am looking forward to this coming week as well.
I am really loving This Poison Heart. Maybe because I love plants and old houses in the country.
We watched Modern Family for a while, it is pretty funny!!

It is rainy here today too, which is kinda nice because it makes it feel so cozy! Even though it’s still pretty warm, LOL. I also just read your newest homeschooling post, and just had to say, my goodness, Wyatt looks so grown up with his new haircut! So handsome!

It is sort of warm here too. Lol. But I am enjoying the rainy part!
Oh my gosh, doesn’t he!! I can’t believe it. My baby! Lol.

It is pouring here today! Which is okay, I like hearing the rain on the roof, and the cats enjoy it.
The Prancing Pony sounds like a perfect name for a Tolkien podcast. I will check that out! I’m watching Cobra Kai at the moment. Kinda dumb but still entertaining… 🙂

I read it so fast!! I had to know what was going to happen. There was a chapter I skipped but it didn’t seem to matter. It was good but definitely weird. I am still thinking about what it all meant!

Glad to hear your first week of school was a success! My brothers both have horrible allergies to ragweed, so I completely understand why you’d avoid the outdoors. The Agathas looks good – enjoy!

Thanks! And ugh, it is the worst!! The week coming up is supposed to be awful, with extremely high pollen count so – looks like we will be inside for a bit longer. 😦
I am excited to begin The Agathas.

Yay for a good first week of school! We have finished Locke & Key…while some of the characters and story lines grated on me a bit, I’m really sad that it’s over. They do a nice job of ending it, though.

This second week is not going as smoothly – but we will get it together!
Ugh Locke and Key. We were enjoying it but then something happened (Bode and Dodge) and we just looked at each other and didn’t want to watch anymore episodes. I may have to read a summary. Or have you tell me what happens. Lol.
