Wednesday Hodgepodge

Wednesday Hodgepodge is hosted by From This Side of the Pond

This is my first time participating and I am excited about it!

1. According to author Gary Chapman there are five love languages-words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service, and receiving gifts. Which one is yours?

For what I like to receive, quality time. Is that what this means? I tend to be a doer for other people, so I think I show my love through nurturing.

2. What are five foods you eat every day?

I am not sure there five foods I eat every day that are the same.. Let me try though… toast with jam. Cheese. Right now, watermelon. I’m almost there! Ok..carrots! I love carrots so much. And..the fruit snack I always sneak from the pouch before handing it to Wyatt.

3. Five places you’d love to visit?

Italy. Scotland. Ireland. The Pacific Northwest and Nova Scotia.

4. Something you’ve done recently that deserved a ‘high five‘?

Planned a few fun small activities and one awesome mini-getaway to a tiny house on a farm.

5. Give us five 5-letter words that describe your July.

Books. Fruit. Trips. Dates. Farms.

6. Insert your own random thought here.

I am sitting in my bed looking around and thinking I really want to refresh our bedroom. I have wanted to do this for a while but we have kept putting it off and I think I am going to prioritize it pretty soon. I am 100% over this wall color (that I never wanted, the husband chose it and I have never been a fan lol), I want my art hung, and my husband needs a new dresser. I am moving this project up the list!

Good Morning. I’m visiting from the Hodgepodge page. I saw that this is your first time to link up. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Good for you for planning some small trips and that farm trip in a small house sounds interesting. Day trips have been what we’ve been doing this summer and that’s always fun to me. I hope you have a great day and it’s nice “meeting” you.

  2. Hello, nice to meet you from the Hodgepodge and read your answers. We’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest for 34 years now and it is worth a visit. Looks like you had a fun getaway. Enjoy the rest of July!!

Welcome to the Hodgepodge. If you make it to Nova Scotia keep going and see Prince Edward Island. It’s beautiful! My daughter lived in Tacoma WA for several years so we saw some of the PNW. I highly recommend the Oregon coast. That tiny house looks sweet.

  4. I love your photos and answers. I am a big fan of the Pacific Northwest, and every time I visit, I want to move there. But…still here in California. I also would love to visit Italy, Scotland, and Ireland.

Every day I eat yogurt, oatmeal, something cheesy, (lol), and that’s all I can name!

    Enjoy your day.

  5. What a fun meme! I hope you can get to the PNW someday. We love living here! As far as 5 foods, I would say mine are yogurt, blueberries, almonds, sourdough bread, and wine. Wine’s food, right? 😉

    1. It was fun to do!

I love rain too. Not everyday maybe but I do like a rainy day. 🙂 And lol! Feel free!

So, our bedroom. When we moved in a million years ago we were 24 and put big splashy color everywhere! Since then we have redone/repainted every single room except our bedroom! And so right now it is a shade of blue I just do not like. Lol. And haven’t for like 20 years!!! Now, I am ready for something totally different…neutral walls. I have already repainted two rooms in neutral white/cream colors and I love them. And that is what I am thinking for in here. Valspar Swiss Coffee paint on the walls, my sage green duvet cover, highlights of green and pink, etc. Maybe I will do like a digital vision board post! Hmm..

  6. Welcome. I enjoyed your answers. I live in the PNW. It’s amazing. I live in the Southwest region of Washington state which can be pretty wet though right now extremely hot. I’ve been to Italy once but really want to go back.
