Today I am linking up with Leslie at Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After and her Autumn Bucket List challenge. I love autumn – the crisp air, the changing colors of the trees, warm snuggly blankets, boots, bonfires – just so much goodness in fall for me. I was born in November, so I think it is just in my bones.
I decided since we have had such a crazy month, to keep this list on the smaller side.
- Yoga! This has been on my list for months. I really need to make the time for myself to practice yoga. I always feel so centered and balanced after a session.
- Plant fall bulbs. Billy and I always say we are going to do this and always forget! This year though, it is happening. I want to experience the beauty of the spring flowers next year, and remember this season of life when we planted them.
- Ruthlessly purge my closet and start rebuilding my wardrobe. I posted my Fall Clothes Wish List the other week, and while it is just a few items for now, I want to make sure I add some cute things to my closet.
- I want bake more this fall. Bread mostly, but also some fun stuff too, like cookies and pies and cakes for my little sweet tooth boy. We did make this apple cake the other day!
- Start buying Christmas presents! I already have some ideas in mind for all the little people in my life and while Christmas is going to be different this year, I am still buying gifts for everyone. That is not changing.
- And of course, celebrate the season – enjoy the leaves, the tastes, the scents, read a few spooky books and cozy mysteries, maybe watch a scary movie or two. This is my favorite season after all!

And that is my little autumn bucket list. I already have some ideas for my winter one too… lol.
If you are interested in linking up, you can find the link up here!
I like the idea of organizing things….and now I am drooling for that apple cake. Yum!
Enjoy!

It was definitely time for it to be done. Clothes from before I had my son, who is now 5, don’t fit, and out of style… I am due for an update!
And thank you!

I put this on my fall list last year—and DID IT—and I was SO GLAD this spring!! Never would have guessed we’d be in a pandemic—but, we were…. And I had 135 tulip and daff bulbs making me smile all season. Thanks for this reminder—I made a note somewhere to plant a darker and orangier variety of daffodil this fall. And happy baking!! I know right, this fall weather is amazing. My apple cake turned out to photograph better than it tasted. I got the recipe from a picture book so that maybe wasn’t the best choice?

What a fun list! I love driving around and seeing all the leaves changing colors.

Me too!! The leaves are not quite changing here yet unfortunately, although they are a bit further north. We may have to take a little drive and plan a fall picnic!

Daffodils are my favorite spring flower. I plan to do a little fall baking as well if I can get in the mood. We grew pumpkins in our garden & they are ready & waiting to be cooked up. I have started my Christmas shopping & that is a good fall thing to do too.

Daffodils are so pretty!! I am looking forward to picking out the bulbs for next year!
We grew pumpkins and I went out to check them the other night and they had been eaten by squirrels!!!! I am not sure what to do to stop them next year. They waited until they were huge and orange too. 😦

I am going to start Friday! I am excited.
Well… I bake, but not always well. That cake looks really cool but tasted really bad. LOL. That will teach me to get my recipe from a children’s picture book. 🙂

I am horrible at baking! My daughter keeps asking for me to bake her an apple pie with the apples we got the other day at the orchard, but I have no idea how to do it. Luckily my mom does so I know she can show me. If everyone doesnt eat the apples we picked before I get there. I also need to make some applesauce with them, which I hope to do tomorrow.

I’m not great at it honestly. Lol. I try though! It’s good that your mom can show you. My SIL just made an amazing looking pie with the apples we picked – she even added little bat embellishments. You had better post your photos of your pie making! 🙂

Hello Erin and happy autumn! Your list sounds perfect for this season. I always enjoy changing out my closet. There’s something cathartic about it for me. I feel fresh and renewed…ready for anything. Well, I guess I shouldn’t say that this year, when anything really could happen. 🙂 Enjoy your autumn. Plant those bulbs.

I have been enjoying purging! I have a feeling I might enjoy the buying more though… I have purchased one cardigan and one long sleeved shirt so far. 🙂 And I am narrowing down my list of bulbs!

Great list!! I want to bake more too. But can’t afford to gain a lot of weight eating all the baked goods. Ha!! Want to bake some bread so started a new Pinterest board for bread baking.
I am purging – but not getting very far – my closet and dresser. I have a small basket of clothes I am ready to part with. Need to force myself to go back in there with a more discerning eye. Ha!
Yay for fall movies, spooky books and mysteries and all the autumn fragrances and flavors. Look forward to cheering you on this season.

I was pretty ruthless with my closet and dresser. It is like bare bones in there right now!! It is actually forcing me to buy new things. 🙂 Lol.
Thanks again for the heads up on your bucket list challenge!
