My week last week was so different and out of routine for me – I went to Texas! I was away from my family for the first time in four years, and I have to admit, it was tough at times. I missed my guys so darn much. I did have fun though so all the missing them was worth it. I hope to share my adventures with y’all this week! And as I am writing this Saturday, I am still in Texas – I land tomorrow afternoon and I am excited to see my kiddo and husband. And to watch the end of the Tour de France with them too!
I read less than I had anticipated last week! In my downtime on my trip I actually tried to catch up here, with commenting and even wrote a post. I also did a little planning – I never get enough time as I want to mess about here, so it was fun for me to get to do that. I did finish one book and start a new one. So I apologize, the books are not different from last week!

![Nine Coaches Waiting: The twisty, unputdownable romantic suspense classic by [Stewart, Mary]](https://i0.wp.com/images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51b9WY4dJfL._SY346_.jpg?resize=208%2C318&ssl=1)
I’m hoping to finish at least one of these before the end of the month! I need to catch up on my Paris in July posts!

What about you guys? What is going on in your neighborhood?
I’m happy to hear you had a good time despite missing your guys. Have a great coming home reunion, and a wonderful new week. 🌞
Thanks! I am home and happy to be with my guys. It was fun to catch up and share our stories. 🙂
I was meaning to watch some Tour de France and I never got to it, I’m so bummed. I’m definitely gonna make sure next year I watch some of it. I think I’d love watching the Tour wind its way thru France.
The Little Bookshop on the Seine looks fun!
I highly recommend watching it!! Some stages get a little long feeling, particularly the flat stages. Lol. However, if you leave it on while you are doing other things that helps, particularly since it is so long to watch. But it is a great amazing thing to see. This year ended crazy, they had to stop the race one day due to ice and hail! Then the next day they had to shorten the race entirely because of the weather. It was crazy.
I am glad you got to visit your family. I am sure it was tough to leave your hubby and son behind though.
It was my first time away from Wyatt since he has been born and was in the NICU! I had my moments but I also had fun and made some new friends. 🙂
Nice to get away and it gives your guys some nice bonding time as well. I loved all Mary Stewart’s books, one day I’ll do a reread!
It did give them some great bonding time together!! I was so happy that they could do that. 🙂 We had a lot of fun catching up and sharing our adventures. 🙂
I really love her! I’ve been buying her books in kindle format lately, as my copies are falling apart and I am downsizing my physical book library. My favorites I am purchasing for my Kindle. 🙂
Looking forward to your Texas post.
Thanks Stefanie!! We had fun!
I’m glad you have enjoyed your time away. Have a safe flight home.
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you! It was a pretty quick flight with some turbulence but not bad. 🙂
I’ll be curious to hear about Little Bookshop on the Seine. Sounds like it combines two of my favorite things — books and Paris! I just posted some of my summer reading too — and more is coming. I love summer for reading. So mellow!
