Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl
Today’s Prompt: Summer TBR
Hello everyone! I have already started on my Summer TBR/Hopefuls list and managed to knock a few off already. Jane of Lantern Hill, Yesteryear, Dungeon Crawler Carl, The Last Resort, Deadly Summer Nights, but I decided to make an enormous list to choose from this summer, instead of a small list. I have limited time to read so I don’t get through books as fast as I used to, so my eyes are often bigger than I can read.
That said, here are my top hopefuls.

Sad Cypress by Agatha Christie || My Own Cape Cod by Gladys Taber || The Growing Summer by Noel Streatfeild || The Smallest of Joys by Diane Shiffer

How To Survive Camping The Man with No Shadow || What Happened to Those Girls || Murder at the Lakeside Library || Campfire and Corpses || Off the Beaten Path

Oh My Affogato || Sea of Charms || Tea with Elephants || Paper Ghosts

The Chowder House Murder || Dying for Strawberries || Diary of a Tuscan Bookshop || Summer at Mulberry Cottage
So I know I won’t even come close to reading all of these, but this is my pool of books I am choosing from this summer. There are some I want to read more than others, but that also depends on the availability from my library (Sea of Charms and The Smallest of Joys, I am looking at you!) since most of what I read I either get from the library or Pango (if you have never purchased from there you can use my code CRACKERCRUMBLIFE for $5 off), when I buy books for myself. My son also has a pretty extensive list of hopefuls as well – I think I will post his list later this week for fun!
And that is it from me today; I will be by soon to see your lists, as dangerous as that will be for mine!
I hope that whatever you do today, you something that makes you smile!
I think I’d like “My Own Cape Cod.” You have quite the list!
Lolol. Yeah, there is no way I can read all of these! I am looking forward to that one. I am “saving” it for July though. I love Gladys Taber. I think you would really like her too.
You’ve got such a good list here! I like the sound of Paper Ghosts! A little love, a little ghosty, full of potential! I hope you get through as many of these as makes your heart happy!
I love Sarah Addison Allen. Her book Other Birds is one of my all time favorites!
I haven’t heard of Sad Cypress before!
I found it browsing the mysteries at the library!
Happy summer reading 📚😎⛱️
Thanks Joanne!
I have never read any Gladys Taber, but I’m going to look for her now. Any recommendations on where to start?

I would start with Stillmeadow Daybook. I have only read two by her so far, but of the two that is the one I bought. 🙂
LOL I know the feeling my list is sooo long
Thanks for sharing your #TTT
Lol it was just too hard to try to narrow down reasonably. And I am a mood reader anyway so I thought I might as just give myself a lot to choose from. Lol.
Lots of summer/camping themed books! I have a big list with the new award committee I’m on for middle grade books, but did a past topic this week for my post.

It’s funny, I am always drawn to one summery thing or another every year. Last year I was all about coastal books. This year, camping. Lol.
You have so many really cute books listed here. I am curious about My Own Cape Cod since I spent many a summer days on “the cape.”
I only visited the East coast once as a child, but it made such an impression on me. I have wanted to go back ever since. One day for sure!!!
Robin’s is one I’ve been seeing around! Looks like it may be a fun read. 🙂 Hope you enjoy these all and thanks for visiting my list this week!
It does look super cute!!
Great list of possibilities! Hope you enjoy some wonderful reads this summer!
Thanks Carol!
Taking note from you about all the mysteries! 😊
I am feeling pretty excited about mysteries this summer!
Paper Ghosts looks really good. I hope you get to read your books and that you enjoy them.
I just love Sarah Addison Allen!
My list is long today too, LOL! But, its fun to have so many possibilities. I have heard great things about Tea with Elephants, but haven’t read it. I hope you enjoy the ones you do get the time to read. Have a great week!
Lolol!! We were at therapy today, so I will be making the rounds soon hopefully!!
I saw the video on Instagram, he is doing SO good!! I also had PT this afternoon.
Thank you Cindy!! I was literally on cloud nine coming home from therapy and all last night. I was just so proud of him!
I’m looking forward to Sea of Charms too! I recently finished The Spellshop and am currently reading The Enchanted Greenhouse, I have The Faraway Inn on my TBR as well. I’m really enjoying Sarah Beth Durst’s writing.
I loved The Faraway Inn!! I won a copy of it from Lisa Loves Literature and was so excited. I enjoy her books as well. 🙂
I’ve seen Paper Ghosts on lots of lists today! I hope you enjoy it! Happy Reading!
I love Sarah Addison Allen!
They all look like great reading. I have Paper Ghosts too to read although not on my TTT post. Hope you enjoy as many of them as you can get to.
Thanks Kathryn!!
I haven’t read that Christie book, yet! I hope you enjoy reading all of these whenever you get the opportunity!
Here’s my TTT for this week: https://readbakecreate.com/summer-2026-tbr-ten-books-i-hope-to-read/
Thank you Pam!! I am slowly slowly making my way through them. I read like one a year. Lol. But I will do it!
I enjoy your mixture of adult and children/middle grade books. I do the same thing. I read all over the place and enjoy it all.
Yes! I love middle grade and kids books and realized I don’t need to stop reading them. 🙂 I check out picture books sometimes too. They are just so pretty!
What a great list, Erin. I like how mixed it is. I have seen Paper Ghosts on several lists today. I now have FOMO and will be adding it to my library list.
Lol! I love Sarah Addison Allen. Her book Other Birds is an all time favorite.
I love all those campfire mystery books! Hope you love all on your list!
I am feeling very campy this summer! Lol.
THE CHOWDER HOUSE MURDER is one I want to read too! I hope we both enjoy it.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

So many books for Summer, and so little time! 🙂
I’ve got Chowder House Murder checked out from my library now. Sea of Charms will definitely be added to the collection.
