Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl
Prompt: May Flowers (This is a companion to the April Showers topic from last month. Interpret however you’d like: books with flowers on the cover, colorful covers, books set in springtime, books where flowers/plants are a common theme, titles with flower names in them, characters named after flowers, covers that are as pretty as flowers, books featuring gardens, etc.)
Hello everyone! For this one I tried soooo hard to just stick with one flower, the violet, because I love them and wild violets are always just popping up all over here in May. Other flowers not as much, but violets, and wild violets are definitely May flowers for me. However, I could not come up with ten, so I branched out and added in some of my other favorite flowers as well.
Violets:

Violet Sorrengail from Fourth Wing || Violet Thistlewaite from Violet Thistlewaite is Not a Villain Anymore || Violet Beauregarde from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory || Violet Quigley from Crescent Moon Tearoom || Violet Beaudelaire from The Bad Beginning
Other Favorite Flowers:

Marigold from The Honey Witch || Snapdragon from Snapdragon || Daisy from The Great Gatsby

Yarrow from The Enchanted Greenhouse || Poppy from People We Meet on Vacation
And that is it from me! I hope that whatever you do today, I hope that you do something that makes you smile!
This is a great idea, I wanted to do something similar with flower names in the title, but it was taking too long so I abandoned it, lol. I particularly love all the “Violets”😁
Thank you Tammy! It was fun to find all of them!
Now that’s clever!
Thanks Joanne!
I love how you thought to use character names to feature- that is clever. I would have been much more literal and used things like The Secret Garden or The Language of Flowers (one of my all time favorites!).
Thanks Joanne! The Language of Flowers! I read that, it was a good one!
Cleverly done, thanks for sharing your #TTT
Thanks Shelleyrae!
Sometimes you have to stretch the elastic! You did well.
Lol thanks Jeanie! And it definitely did that!
This is a fun list! I should find some of my favorite characters with flower names too. And Poppy is a fun one to include. 🙂 Thanks for visiting my list today!
Thanks Rissi! This was a fun one to do!
So fun!
Thanks Bree!
Clever! You’ve inspired me to make a list for a future prompt! Well done! 🙌🌷
Oo cool!! I am glad that I could inspire you!!
Creative twist on today’s topic. I would never have known characters names without this. Thank you.
Thanks Anne!!
I’m so impressed you stuck to one flower! Violet Thistlewaite Is Not A Villain Anymore is gorgeous.
That was a fun book too!
Great idea for this topic!
Thanks Yvonne!
So clever! Love all the Violets you found.
Thanks Bree! That was a fun exercise to see how many I could find.
The Honey Witch has such a warm cover. Makes me immediately want to jump in to the story.
Yes, I love that cover! It is so cozy!
The Sarah Beth Durst book covers are always so stunning! I also love the cover for Honey Witch.
I know! Her covers are the best!!!
Great approach to the topic! I love violets too. The Lemony Snicket stories are so fun. I haven’t read the books, but really enjoyed the tv series.
I haven’t read them either! I was out of the age range for them when they came out. I loved the tv show too!
I love that you went with character names! I didn’t even think of that!
It took me a little minute to get what you were doing! You are so clever! I love the titles of all these books. I have got to finish some books soon!
