Hello everyone! I hope that you are all doing well! Last week was a busy one for us, but we had a lot of fun with family. I spent most of Wednesday baking and it was wonderful. I had my little assistant with me for part of it, which was nice as well. Today we are decorating for Christmas which makes me happy! We even have snow for it!
Read Last Week:

This was such a light read and perfect for a busy week. I didn’t like it as much as I liked the first in the series, but it was ok. I did love that there was a baby dragon. I am still planning on reading the next one in the series in December.
Reading This Week:

Last night we had our first big snowstorm of the year, and it felt like the perfect night to start Hogfather. I’ve been wanting to try Terry Prachett and this seemed like a fun one to start with.

Watching:
We are not watching too much, at least last week. We finished up the Bake Off, and I think that was it. We did watch Mickey’s Christmas Carol with Wyatt, because I wanted to kick off holiday movie watching. And since then he has put it on a least fifty more times. Lol. Tonight we are going to watch another movie. We have them all in a jar and Wyatt draws a name and that is what we watch. Always a surprise now! I do plan on adding in other holiday movies from Hallmark, or that are for adults – the ones in the jar are kid movies.
Around the Interwebs:

Lisa from Boondock Ramblings and I are also beginning our Comfy Cozy Christmas Link Up! Comfy Cozy Christmas isn’t just about Christmas, it is anything holiday related – any December holiday – at all that strikes your fancy and you write about this month. Movies, books, traditions, activities. I am excited to read them! This link should be up today!
Also, just a reminder that Lisa hosts a monthly linky, that I help with, called A Good Book and a Cup of Tea. Make sure to link up any book related posts! We love to hear!

And that is it from around here today! I hope that whatever you do today, you do something that makes you smile!
It sounds like a wonderfully cozy week! We were supposed to get several inches of snow and ended up with just a couple. Then, it warmed up around midnight and rained before falling rapidly. Now, it’s just icy. Jack was so disappointed because he loves to play in the snow!

I hate when it just ends up as ice! That was here last night. I am hoping the roads are better today. Wyatt and I are driving to my dad’s house for a secret mission for Billy for Christmas.
I’m glad you had a lovely week, and are enjoying your Christmas decorations and the snow.
Wishing you a happy reading week
Thank you Shelley!
Wonderful family time and I bet the snow is pretty. I’m glad we don’t have it and when we do it’s just 1-2 days. I still have lettuce and herbs. Finally the peppers have given up as it’s been down in the 20s at night.

I don’t mind snow – but only in December and January. A little in November is acceptable. February though, no. I am done. Lol. We are looking forward to planting standing garden boxes that are wheelchair accessible this year!
I never do this, but since I was at my son’s house, we ended up watching a lot of football.
I hope you enjoy Hogfather. I don’t know why, but I just couldn’t get into it.
I hope you survived all the snow and cold! It was pretty crazy these past few days.
I am having a hard time getting into it but I am plugging away. I feel like if the story could just focus on Susan I would be ok.
The J. Penner series sounds good! We keep watching the same favorite cheezy Netlix holiday movies over and over. They make my heart happy 🙂
I am like that too. If I like a thing, I just watch it over and over. I am glad you are enjoying your holiday movie time!!
I want to read Hogfather this December, too. But I suspect I didn’t get in line soon enough at the library. Maybe I’ll be forced to buy it. Gasp! I am ready starting to think about what books I can cram into December and then have started thinking ahead to January. Eek. It is like we have our feet on the banana peel and we’ll just go slipping out of the year.
Lol!! That is how I always feel too. Like gosh darn it! And me too!!! I have so many on my list there is no way I can make it through without some of Santa’s special time travel magic.
I have listened to Hogfather every year for the last 4 years. It has become part of my Christmas tradition!
I will try to post a couple of things for Comfy Cozy Christmas!Have a great week!
Oo listening to it sounds like a good idea!! Maybe I will try that next year!
Thanks Marg!!
Are you still getting snow? That sounds Christmas-y. We have about 6 inches on the ground here from a storm last week. You are ahead of things decorating already, Nice!
We have been getting little snow flurries but nothing major. We are about to experience an arctic chill though. I love winter but not below zero weather!
What all did you bake???
Wyatt and I made chocolate chip cookies and Nantucket Cranberry Pie, and Billy made savory monkey bread.
I love how you have Wyatt pick a movie out of the a jar. That’s so much fun. We should do something like that.
So Warren has been trying to get me to read Hogfather and Pratchett for years. I think I might have to join you in that.
It is fun! He loves being the decider. Lol.
You need to talk to Warren, keeper of the lore, for me. Lolol.
I agree that a snow storm is the perfect time to start reading! It makes it so nice and cozy to be inside. The book about the librarians looks great!

It does make it so nice! I love feeling all wrapped up and cozy.
