Hello everyone! Our week was pretty good. We had some ups and downs but overall, pretty good. Wyatt and I had a nice routine week, we had some fun moments, we refreshed some of our fish tanks, we saw some cousins – those were all good. I had some news about my mom that was not so great, and is causing me some anxiety, but I am hoping and praying for a solution.
What I am Reading:
I didn’t finish anything last week, but I did start reading two books. Then Friday the book I was waiting for came in, so I am going to start that one too. So I guess I am reading a few books this week.
I hope to finish A Prayer for the Crown Shy today at some point. I am also enjoying Budde’s book How We Learn to Be Brave.

What We Are Watching:
We have been pretty much collapsing into bed after full days over here, so not much television has been happening. We did watch The Brokenwood Mysteries, Beyond Paradise, and The Wheel of Time.
In addition we have been watching our Springtime in Paris movies! Last week was The Intouchables, which was such a feel good movie. If you need a pick me up, watch this one.
This week we will watch our final movie in our six week Springtime in Paris journey. I will be sad to say goodbye! It was such a fun little movie watching challenge. We are ending things with Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant, and I am very excited to watch it.
Online Things Happening:
While we are wrapping up Springtime in Paris, Lisa from Boondock Ramblings and I are still hosting our Drop In Crafternoons once a month. Lisa and I have been hosting crafternoons for fellow bloggers on Zoom since January, and it has been so fun. It is nice to meet the person behind the blog, hear their voices, and share more stories – all while we work on whatever craft we choose! There is no right or wrong activity, you don’t even need to craft if you don’t want to. Just hang out, that is fine too!
I have also started adding downloadable, printable children’s birthday invitations to my Etsy store, Fox and Firth. I have been trying to create three a day and adding them, so keep checking back as the inventory is constantly growing!
And that is about it from me today! I hope that you are all are feeling happy and loved, and do something today that makes you smile!

I must look for some yarn and a crochet hook so that I can try to join you all for the next crafternoon. I knew spring would be busy, but after I return from NYC, things should slow down here a lot.

I am also waiting for a slow down! LOL. I feel like I have launched us into a very hectic go go go life this spring. I want Wyatt to have as many experiences as possible before his surgery so I am filling up our lives before he has to stay low for a while. It would be great to have you join us again!

Thanks Jeanie! It is a fun little endeavor, and hopefully I can make a little extra here and there. I feel like we all need to try to make up for some of the rising prices somehow!

I am sorry to hear about your mom, I hope and pray all will be well. Busy weeks seem to be the norm right now, but hopefully we will get some time to catch our breath. I hope this week is a good one!

I keep meaning to reread the Monk & Robot books — they aren’t my favourites by Chambers, but her work is always so kind.
Hope your mom will be okay (or as okay as possible)!

It sounds like we have both had bad news about our Moms this week. I am so sorry you are also having to go through this. Your invitations look amazing – well done and so creative. I hope you have a good week ahead.

I am curious about A Prayer for the Crown Shy. I have only read one book by Chambers, which I adored, and want to read more by her. I hope you are enjoying your reading.

I hope your mom’s situation resolves itself successfully. Otherwise, your week sounds good. I usually have two books going at a time – one print, one audiobook. I try to make sure that they are nothing alike to avoid confusion. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

We have a few fish tanks! We have three – we have two betta, Moon and Sid Fishous. Then in our new tank we have two African dwarf frogs, a few lemon tetra, and Khuli loaches. I am having a hard time getting my parameters on that one under control! It’s my first community tank.
I loved A Prayer for the Crown-Shy!! It was just the book that I needed.

Ah cool, okay I see. I used to have a betta called Ghost. Moon and Sid Fishous are excellent names!! oh my gosh you have frogs that’s amazing!! and I had to look up those types of fish I’d never heard of them before but they look so beautiful! Well good luck, that sounds tough to manage, so wow!

I bet all your invitations are so cute, you have a lovely aesthetic. I’m looking forward to the next crafternoon; I think it will be the evening before a celebration of a friend’s life I have to go to on the Sunday so will be a balm for me and will be lovely to see that group of faces!
