Hello everyone! I hope that you are all doing well! We are doing ok over here, just keeping on keeping on. We had a pretty busy weekend that was full of family!
Read Last Week:

I’ve been reading monstery books this spring. Not sure how that happened, but it did. I absolutely loved Wormwood Abbey, and I can’t wait to read book two in the series. Greenteeth… I had higher hopes for it. I love this cover, I loved parts of the book, but it was a bit slow maybe? There was something about that I didn’t love. Maybe I was just too excited to read it; I grew up reading about fairies and loving faery lore and Jenny Greenteeth was one of my favorites so maybe I had too high of expectations. It still was a pretty good read.
Reading This Week:

This week I am stepping away from my monster books and starting my yearly reread of Watership Down. I can’t wait to get back to this little world again!
Posted Last Week:

Top Ten Tuesday: Books with Springy Covers
Springtime in Paris: How to Steal a Million
Friday Morning Coffee Catch Up
Watching:
We have been hopscotching about, and doing less binge watching lately! This is unlike us. Lol. However, we are enjoying all of our shows that we are watching. Lately, that list has included Poldark (why did it take us so long to watch this!), Our Flag Means Death, Wheel of Time, Murdoch Mysteries, and Beyond Paradise.
We are also three movies into our Springtime in Paris movie watch! This week is Paris Blues with Paul Newman and Sidney Poitier.

And that is it from around here today! I hope that whatever you do today, you do something that makes you smile!
Sometimes, you just have to switch to let your mind reset! We are watching Hacks and The Righteous Gemstones. The last has gotten pretty risqué but you just can’t look away from their shenanigans!
I hope you have a wonderful week!!

It’s wonderful that you are doing your reread of Watership Down. It’s a great book for spring.
And I still haven’t given up looking for last week’s movie and this week’s movie!

We started Poldark last winter, and got a little ways into it – the scenery is gorgeous! But it got so … dreary? Too sad for us for the season of life, and we walked away from it … will probably return though. 🙂
I need to binge/catch-up on Paris movies!

Lol! We were just saying that last night about Poldark! We love it but now we are going to put the rest of it on hold until winter. It doesn’t match spring and summer very well! But I didn’t know it gets sad!

Maybe not sad-sad, but … a bit bleak? Things must get better after the point we stopped, since there were still several seasons, but in the moment it was just not the right fit for the time 🙂

That’s too bad about Greenteeth but I think this is why I put off reading books I’m really excited about. It’s doubly disappointing when they don’t quite live up to my expectations. I do want to read Watership Down. Maybe I should try and work it in this spring! Have a great week!

Yes, I do that too a lot!! It is why I haven’t read the Beyond the Cerulean Sea yet.
I will never discourage anyone from reading Watership Down. Lol.
