Hi everyone! I am so excited about autumn, but if you read here regularly then you probably already know that.
I of course have a loose plan of books I would like to read this fall. I say loose because I am terrible at sticking to a plan of reading. I might want to read something but then absolutely dislike it when I start it. Or I might simply just change my mind. I like to make a list yet give myself the freedom to walk away from it too. The best of both worlds!
September
I feel like I am already behind!

October
This is where it gets messy. I went with more cozy witchy or cozy paranormal romance with one horror this October and there are just so many that I want to read! I do have quite a few middle grade on this list though, so maybe just maybe I can read them all?

November
I want to sort of segue from spooky fall to comfy fall in my reading in November.

I also have a list of bonus books which I am sure I won’t get to but would like to read during the fall. There are just way too many books out there and not enough time!
Are any of these books on your TBR?
Somewhere Beyond the Sea is on my list and that Healing Season of Pottery looks really cute too. I struggle to find good fall books because I’m not much into witches (Harry Potter being an obvious exception!), paranormal, spooky, etc. I want cozy fall books about hayrides, and leaf peeping, warm drinks and special treats… sort of Hallmark movie but set in fall!

Oo yes, I love that vibe too! Some of my backup bonus books are more like that, for when I inevitably get tired of spooky. Lol. I have the Pumpkin Spice Cafe and The Cinnamon Bun Bookstore on my list in reserve. They are supposed to feel like Stars Hollow and the Gilmore Girls, which the author loves (and look at her pen name!) Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell was cute and is about two teens working in an orchard in the fall but it is a graphic novel. It has all of those vibes though. Lol. Given Our History by Kristyn J. Miller is another one. Maybe I will try to to a roundup of these books as well.

Haunted Ever After is on my TBR, too! I definitely want to read some “seasonal” books this year.

It looks so cute! I can’t wait to read it.

I figure if I can get in six books between now and Christmas it will be amazing! I’ll be curious to hear about all of these.

I have literally lost my mind thinking I am going to read all of these. LOL. Aim high though I guess.

I’ve got The Healing Season of Pottery TBR from NetGalley. I am enjoying a sort of Reading Week this week as I’m home alone and (horrible confession) I don’t know how to turn the TV on and I don’t watch much TV anyway, I do have things to do and people to interact with every day, but will have lots of extra reading time. I haven’t really planned what to read but I’m eyeing review books and older TBR books and have already almost finished my lagging August NetGalleys! Happy Autumn reading!

Oooo!!! It sounds like such a great book and I am looking forward to getting my hands on it. And lol! That is ok – I am trying to watch less on tv as well.
Some solid reading time alone sounds like a dream!!!

I’ve read the Grady Hendrix one…not that I remember what it was about. I do know his books are always so cliff hanger-y! I just put a hold on Somewhere Beyond the Sea. If it’s half as good as the other books, I’ll be happy. It looks like you’ve got some good ones, Erin!

I love Grady Hendrix. His books are usually so scary. I had to skip pages while reading My Best Friend’s Exorcism. Lol. I can’t wait to read that one, but I am super nervous. I am not a sequels person sometimes because sometimes I like the story as is.

This looks like a wonderful lineup of books! I’ll be referring back to this in the next couple of months so I can add them to my TBR!

Thank you! Now if I can only read them all! We will see how I do!

None of these books are on my TBR but I always admire all the variety of books you read. A couple of them look very good and like some I might like if I step outside of my regular reading, which, believe it or not, I do actually do from time to time.
I have remade my Autumn TBR four times now! I plan to finalize it and share it on Friday but I know I’ll make changes and drop books, etc. as well.

Lol. I do like to mix it up! We will see how I do with this list – I have already dropped one book from the line up and added a different one. Sorry Starling House, there was only room in my life for one Alice in Wonderland book at a time. (Wyatt and I are reading Alice for school) And you definitely do read outside your regular reading!
Yeah… I am not great with staying to a list. But I am trying!

I want to read nearly your entire November list, haha … Swap out Tempest of Tea for The Full Moon Coffee Shop, and yep 😀

I just finished Haunted Ever After and enjoyed it. A light read and a good bit of escape. We’ll Prescribe You a Cat is on my TBR along with A Tempest of Tea and A Teller of Small Fortunes. So many great fall-ish books! I’m looking forward to seeing your thoughts on them!

Ok, I was going to save that one but after reading your comment last night I was like forget it, I am reading it now! Lol. I am loving it so far. I can’t wait for those others either!

Great list! I like your transition from October to November. I’m making that transition mostly by rushing the holiday season so that I can have fun posts on my blog for December.

I have the same problem with TBR lists. So much depends on what I’m in the mood to read.

Lindsay Currie’s books look great, with just the right amount of spooky for me. (I’m a wimp.) I really need to read her one of these days. I hope you enjoy hers and all these others!
Happy TTT!

Lol! I am enjoying it so far; I love the setting and ambience of the book. I really liked What Lives in the Woods. It was a fun read, especially since I had been to the town where it was set.

None on my TBR, but I read We’ll Prescribe you a Cat, and found it super disappointing, even though I usually love Japanese lit.

Somewhere Beyond the Sea is on my TBR, but I’m about 4 months out on my hold at the library so it’s going to be a minute before I get my hands on it. I hope you get more reading done than you expect and enjoy all of these and have a great week.
