Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a good week last week! We had just a normal week around here. Nothing exciting – which is a good thing sometimes! I finished up some things to make our Cub Scout Pack official, and I started working on planning for school in September.
Read Last Week:

The Berry Pickers was phenomenal. Definitely one of the best books I have read all year, hands down. It was also a tear jerker! I needed a giant emotional break after reading it and Crime and Cherry Pits was perfect for a follow up. Summery, a light little cozy set in Michigan, it was perfect.
Reading This Week:
I am still sort of recovering from The Berry Pickers but I have a few I am going to be choosing from.

I really don’t know where I will land this week!

Top Ten Tuesday – Debut Novels
Watching:
I was pretty emotionally drained after The Berry Pickers so I told Billy I needed to go back to the Sewing Bee for a bit. Lol. So we watched The Great British Sewing Bee all week.
And that is it from around here today! I hope you are doing well!
The Berry Pickers sounds tremendous. I’ll have to look into that one.

It’s always a bit of a challenge to start reading again after a book that has left me emotionally drained. I hope your next read is a wonderful one!

I haven’t heard of The Great British Sewing Bee. I need to find it and check it out.
Sorry you still have a bit of a hangover from Berry Pickers. I love books that make me feel but sometimes they are hard to recover from.
I hope you have a great week! Thanks for stopping by my blog!

It is such a good watch. Very soothing and comforting. The judges are so sweet. I think if you use a VPN you can watch.
Ugh it was so good but yes, now I need a little break! Lol.

It is so good Marsha!! But does have some sad stuff in there, just be warned if you are avoiding that right now.
And I needed the warm hug of the Sewing Bee!

I’m listening to The Berry Pickers right now. I am also listening to The Wandering Stars which is also a Native story which includes lots of stories of addiction.

I will have to look that one up!

I now really want to read Berry Pickers, but know that it should be carefully timed.
Jane of Lantern Hill is good – I love the “Montgomery Ephemera” (aka: Not Just Anne), and have discovered some really amazing stories and characters.
I started that Amanda Flowers series, and need to go back and finish/catch up. It is such a fun cute cozy, and perfect for summer.

Yes. Be sure you are in a good place when you read it! I don’t read many books like that but this one was good.
I am excited to start Jane! I actually received a surprise book gift from Amazon, The Blue Castle, so I am reading that one now and I love it.
It really is such a perfect little cozy for summer!

I think I’ll avoid The Berry Pickers. I like light and fluffy more these days. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

The Berry Pickers sounds like a very emotional read. I’ll look it up but not sure if I can read it. Like Kathy I tend towards the light.

The Amanda Flower looks great and I’ve really enjoyed her books. Jane of Lantern Hill is another of my favorites. I like that Jane is a bit more practical of a heroine than Montgomery’s usual characters. I hope you’re having a great week!

I think Jane looks so good! I got The Blue Castle as a surprise gift this week so I am reading that first. That one is good too! I have never read beyond Anne before so this is fun.
And I love the Amanda Flower books!
I hope you are as well. 🙂
