Top Ten Tuesday – Throwback! Books That Feel Like Fall

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Hello everyone! This week Top Ten Tuesday is a freebie throwback week! We could choose from any previous topic, and since I am new to participating, there were a lot to choose from. I decided on Books That Feel Like Fall because I really love fall, and could very easily skip the rest of summer.

With that being said, let’s look forward to a future of warm drinks, cozy nights, crisp weather, and jeans and boots and snuggly sweaters!

Morbidly Yours and Haunted Ever After

These two contemporary romances caught my eye because of how different they seem from others. They just look like fun reads for fall, romance that is just more on the spookier side.

Well-Offed In Vermont and Berries and Bones

These give me allllll the fall vibes with these covers!

A Year in the Woods and Crow Talk

I LOVE these covers. I love getting outside in the fall, especially into the woods and these books look perfect for evoking that feeling.

The Hedge Witch of Foxhall and October, October

These are covers to just get lost in. Autumnal, dreamy, magical.

The Dollhouse and Woodwitch

I love middle grade books and these are just so spooky autumn – but not too spooky!

Well now I am definitely in the mood for a matcha latte – not iced! -, a cool evening, my favorite sweater, and a backyard fire.. how about you?

      1. I’m working at the library, and a patron who stepped outside onto our balcony (where we send cell-phone talkers) just opened the door, recoiled, and then braced themselves to go out again. XD

  1. OMG! I’m so with you. I wish we could skip summer and go straight to fall AS LONG AS fall lasts for more than a week which it tends to do in my neck of the woods.

I haven’t read any of these books but I think I’ll add a few to my TBR. 😀

I keep feeling like fall is just around the corner when I know it’s months away. Isn’t that weird? I’m ready for fall decor, pumpkins (but not pumpkin spice anything), and cozy sweaters. Instead, it’s endless watering of flowers (how are your David Austin roses doing?), wearing shorts and tees, and lots and lots of salads!

I love these book covers and could imagine a room with a gallery wall of these! Wouldn’t that be cozy?

    1. I am sooo ready for fall. This summer is so weird. I feel like we have not done anything! The weather is either just so hot and humid I can’t move or raining like crazy. There is no in between. I need to get my kid out there doing something to make those summer memories. Lol.

My roses are doing ok….well, one of them. The other bit the dust. 😦 I am super sad about it! When I ordered it in the winter the wheelchair ramp was not in the plans and it just didn’t survive all the work going on.

      That would be delightful!

  3. Great list! It looks like you are so ready for the fall, since your whole list just radiates spooky-not-scary season. And that’s right up my alley – I love the spooky season reads that aren’t too scary. If you like paranormal rom-coms, I’d suggest picking up Witch Please by Ann Aguirre, or The Ex Hex by Erin Sterling. They’re both fun and funny, without getting scary, and perfect for fall reading.

      1. Me too! I can’t wait for the onslaught of pumpkin everything, cold nights, cozy sweaters and boots, leaves changing color and the smell of a bonfire … but most of all not feeling like I AM ON FIRE! 🔥 haha but I love a good witch book too. I hope you enjoy these!
