Hello everyone! I hope last week was a good one for you all! We just sort of puttered around but it was nice to just putter!
Read Last Week:

Last week I read another cozy, Farm to Trouble and I absolutely loved it. It was seasonal, it was Michigan, it was cozy, there was an adorable little dog named Huckleberry. I can’t wait to read the next in the series but since that one is pretty autumnal I am going to hold off until fall, although it will be tough to do!
Reading This Week:

I have high hopes for this week, listing two books! We will see!
Posted Last Week:

Game Night! For Kids, by a Kid!
Road Trip: Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge
Tuesday Morning Coffee Catch Up
Watching and Listening:
Hmm.. what are we watching? Nothing really new. We watched some Death in Paradise, and to my great excitement, the first new episode of Season 10 of When Calls the Heart. I loved it so much I could have watched it a second time. I feel on some level I love that show so much because it makes me think of my youth and Little House on the Prairie, of which I grew up loving so much!! I still read the books, and while as a kid I wasn’t a huge fan of the television show, I did watch it. Especially the Christmas episode, such a great one. In fact, I should see if I can find it. I wonder if Wyatt would watch it? Hmmmm.
Saturday nights used to be our movie nights, but we have sort of tapered off. Maybe because it is summer? Later tonight (Saturday) after dinner, we are walking down to the next street over’s block party. We were out for a walk while Wyatt rode his bike and one of the neighbor’s spotted us and invited us down. So if it is not too late we might take a little stroll down, even briefly.
I’ve been watching my YouTube faves as well, Darling Desi, With Love Kristina, and Dainty Diaries.
As for listening, same stuff. I am looking for some book podcasts, if anyone has recommendations!
And that is about it from ’round here! How are things in your neighborhood?
I’m glad that Farm to Table worked — it sounded perfect for you!

The Unplugged Summer was pretty interesting. The author is young and just seems to be getting his feet wet writing, but it was a good first effort!

I don’t get to listen often but some favourite book podcasts have been Sarah’s Bookshelves, the NYPL podcast The Librarian is In, and What Should I Read Next. I haven’t listened to it but you might like the Cozy Mystery Book Club.
Wishing you a wonderful reading week

Puttering is such a luxury when it always seems like I should be doing something. But I think it is important too.

Ooh, the George Horner looks interesting. My friend Simon at Stuck-in-a-Book has a books podcast, I don’t do podcasts myself but he’s excellent so I’m sure it will be. Oh turns out I have no idea how to find it, here’s the link to the latest one on his blog: https://www.stuckinabook.com/category/teaorbooks/

Farm to Trouble sounds great. I went over and read the sample at Amazon after seeing it last week. Anything set near Traverse… 🙂
Book podcasts… I know Juli at Then and Now (she’s on the Sunday Post linkup) has just started a podcast.

I know right!! I think you would like it just for the setting alone. Lol. Very accurate – the town of Cherry Glen or whatever it is where this book is set reminds me of Glen Arbor.
Oh thank you!! I am adding that to my list!!

I started the week with the George Horner book and I am going to start the Sager book today! And it is appropriately overcast, a great day to start a thriller in my opinion. Lol.

I started Farm to Table but I was reading a book for another author and had to send it back to Libby. I plan to get it again after I finish this Anthony Horowitz one and another one I started but I didn’t finish. plus there was a book I said I’d read for another author and still didn’t and… yeah..I have a lot of books to read.
I loved that Christmas episode from Little House. You told me about it because I had never seen it. I really liked it.

I love that episode too. Sigh. I feel like watching it now! I will wait though. Lol.

I like the sound of Farm to Trouble and am glad to hear you enjoyed it! I hope you had a nice time at the block party if you decided to go! Our weekend was relatively low key. We got some back to school shopping done. I can’t believe school starts the end of this week. I don’t think any of us are ready. I hope you have a great week, Erin! Happy reading!

It was very informative about what it took for him to get here to work, and all the mishaps at summer camp.
