It was a looonnnnggg week last week! We had so much going on that I had to write post-it notes to myself and leave them places so that I could remember what I needed to do and when! We did manage to sneak in some fun times though, in between all the business. My son and niece had a pool night at my in-laws house, and oh my gosh did they have fun! Wyatt is a water baby and gets so excited and has no fear. He loves to be in the pool. He is screaming and laughing like crazy in that picture of him with my brother, who he was trying to splash. The kids and dads played in the pool for a few hours and then followed it up by devouring pizza and crazy bread.
Read Last Week:

I didn’t read quite as much as I had hoped last week, although I did finish this one. I loved it! I hope to do a few quick book reviews this week.
I had wanted to start Cape Cod by William Martin but I can’t find my copy! I packed it up when we redid the office and I can’t find the box it is in. So I put a hold on it from the library and I am waiting for it to come in.
Reading This Week:

While I was going through the boxes of books, I did pull this one out. Another oldie but goodie. I just mentioned it to someone on here the other day, when we were talking about Luna Moths. Luna Moths feature in this book somehow but I don’t remember exactly how. I grabbed it to read while I am waiting for Cape Cod. I also want to finish this one.

I got about halfway through it then put it down for some reason and never picked it back up. So it is on my list to finish this week.
Posted Last Week:
<a href="http://<!– wp:paragraph –>

Currently.. July
Watching:
Not really anything new. The Tour, Death in Paradise. I am listening to different creepy podcasts and some nature ones as well. Kind of boring on this front for right now.
What a great week! Your books look good, too. Enjoy the upcoming week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES

Cannot thank you enough for naming one of your darlings after my father. He was a scientist, in cancer research at St. Jude for years. He would delight in knowing you did this and that you found 2 more chrysalis when he flew to heaven.

Leslie, thank you for sharing that with me about your father. And I was very happy to do that for you. 🙂

I think Prodigal Summer is my favorite Barbara Kingsolver novel, but it’s been a very long time since I read it. Hope you enjoy it. Wyatt looks so happy in the pool!

Hope this week is not as crazy busy. My grandkids are water babies too and will go in when the water is too cold for grandma!

Lol! This water was pretty cold. My brother was trying to ease in and then my husband just jumped in, splashing my brother in the process. Goofs. Lol

I hope this week is calmer for you! I love the water photos. I haven’t been in a swimming pool since I was a kid. We don’t have many of them around here.

It really is such good exercise – really good for Wyatt’s muscles for sure!! And what is with this crazy weather? We have had that too, days of rain, then days of gross humidity and heat. Hopefully you guys get a nice day soon!

I’m delighted to have my swim class start up again. I love being in the water. It looks like Wyatt loves the water, too.
I especially like Barbara Kingsolver’s nonfiction, though her fiction is good, too. I wonder if I could make a list of authors who have nature themes in their fiction.
Your caterpillar/butterfly post was great to read. I’ve never seen that in real life.

Wyatt definitely loves it. He was practically throwing himself in and we were not ready for him to be in yet. LOL.
Oo I would like to see that list!
I am glad that you enjoyed it! We are really enjoying it.
