September was a bit of a ride for us this year. Two brain surgeries for the boy in three weeks, recovery times, anxiety… it was a lot. We did have some good times wedged in there though.
Wyatt had his first day of kindergarten, and we started picking books up curbside from the library. We missed all the books!
We harvested peanuts (we grew maybe like 15, but still exciting!) We also visited the orchard with Chrissy and my niece.
We took a mosquito laden walk around the grounds of the Henry Ford Estate, went on a picnic and hike, and attended a backyard fire with my brother and his family. And then last week I had cake with my friends at one of our distanced gatherings.
And now we welcome October, usually my most favorite of all the months!

You had a great month! I love October…usually, too. I wonder how this one will play out. I love your photos and your activities.
I have a question: you have WP, and your posts always look great. Are you using the Block Editor? I was “forced” into it yesterday when my back door to the Classic Editor slammed shut, lol. I am struggling. Any hints?

I am using the block editor – what is giving you troubles? Let me know and I will see what I can do to help. 🙂
Aw thanks Laurel! It was a weird difficult month, but we did have some good times too. 🙂 I won’t lie and say I am not still very anxious but I am maintaining!

I am trying to do ordinary things, like add categories and tags, but I am stumbling with those tasks. I did figure out how to add links and change the blocks.
I am sure more challenges will keep coming up, but I managed to write a couple of blog posts without screaming…lol.

Do you see the little settings button in the top right corner? If you click on that, it opens up the options, and then you will want to choose Post. That should give you the menu for categories and tags as well as other options. :)Let me know if that works for you or not!

Sounds like a pretty good month for you. Two surgeries in 3 weeks? Wow! I know your glad to have those over with. Yay for peanuts, even if it wasn’t a huge harvest. I’m just happy to get something from the seeds I plant. Love the pic of Sunshine boy in the yellow shirt.

I love all your photos, especially the peanuts. I love peanuts, but I have a feeling the squirrels would eat them all before they were ready to pick. That’s what happened to my sunflowers. The squirrels killed them all. I’m glad you got to have some fun times between the surgeries. Happy October! It’s my favorite month too.

I am absolutely shocked that they didn’t! However, they did destroy every single one of our pumpkins. 😦 I have to figure out how to protect them next year, that was a bummer. The peanuts though were a happy success!

A month of ups and downs. I’ve never seen a peanut plant either and well done on your crop. I managed to get four portions of runner beans out of my five different kinds of vegetable plants this year …

Tough month but so many great things too! Love that smile on his face. I miss my library so so much. I’ve been doing crazy book shopping and that’s helped but it’s not the same as the library. Hope you have a lovely and calmer October.

It was tough but we did it! And he is such a happy kid. 🙂 He inspires me.
I miss browsing the library so much! Ours is open for curbside, and I get grab bags for Wyatt – I can go online and request a bag of 20 books, and tell them what he likes, what we are learning, etc and they pull a bunch for him. It is kind of neat but I miss our afternoons there. Plus, I haven’t checked out any for myself yet!
