We had just a week last week. Lol. Trying to get back into the groove and get re-organized after my trip and all that. We did spend a lot of time outside which was nice, and Billy and I squeezed in a dinner out, just the two of us. We had fun!
Read Last Week:
The Little Bookshop on the Seine by Rebecca Raisin – I so enjoyed this book!! This would be like a dream come true, living in Paris, running a bookstore – although Sarah did run into some not so dream come true troubles. Review upcoming!
Reading This Week:
What the Wind Knows by Amy Harmon – I am reading this for one of my book clubs this month!
Posted Last Week:
So what about you all? What is going on in your neighborhood?
Glad you were able to get some time off and enjoy your dinner with Billy. Here, I just finished up a readathon yesterday: finished two books, one very good, Hunger by Roxane Gay, whih I can’t recommend enough – to everyone.

I love the cover for Little Bookshop by The Seine! Is it a festive read?

I’ve been trying to decide that honestly! There is a bit of Christmas festivities and spirit – but it is near the end and doesn’t feel necessarily like a festive read, but could be one. Lol.

Neighbors have been busy around here; two couldn’t make it to Craft Night at my house and one’s glamping. We will be preparing for National Night Out next week and I’ll be working on getting the girls ready for school which starts at the end of the month.

I feel like August is the busiest summer month – we are all aware summer time is running out and making the most of it. What is National Night Out? Sounds cool!

National Night Out is when neighborhoods have block parties, fostering community and catching up with one another. We potluck and my neighbor who organizes it registers our block party online; this would enable our party to possible get visited by local law enforcement or delegates from the Mayor’s office. They eat some and address any concerns we might have. We got good advice last year from a female officer about unknown cars around our hood.

I’m a huge fan of all things Paris, so I think I shall add The Little Bookshop on the Seine to my wish list. I love to accumulate books for Paris in July. Every year it gets harder to find enough good reads!
It’s difficult to get back in the groove after a trip. We’ve waited until September this year to take a vacation. Hopefully, things will be slower when we head out.
I hope you have a wonderful week!

I was so bummed – I tried to get this read for Paris in July but couldn’t get it together. Next year I will be more prepared. And probably not leaving for a trip. 🙂 It was a fun read!
It is! I think I was so thrown off, plus my guys seemed to have a lot of fun while I was gone….my husband did a great job solo parenting but I had to put things back to my way a bit lol. September is a great month to travel!

I love the books! And your new blog header. Due to some Internet issues, I haven’t been able to visit a few of my favorite blogs in a while…and then, suddenly, I could. Enjoy your week!

What the Wind Knows looks fantastic, I’ll have to check it out. It’s great that you got time away with your husband, my hubby and I went for coffee and dessert last week without kids. It was the first time in years! Everyone needs that kind of break. Have a great week.

Yay for date nights! Have a good one! 🙂 We actually have one too, and you might actually understand it as a fellow nature lover lol – we are going on a hike to specifically look for woodpeckers than are going to a bonfire.
