Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
Last week, Wyatt had an amazing opportunity to “fly to the North Pole”. This was a special event hosted by several groups, and it was such an amazing experience for him. I plan on telling you guys all about it this week! In short, we boarded a plane and flew to the “North Pole” to meet Santa – and were back in just a few hours! Really it was more of a board an airplane, keep up an illusion of flying to the North Pole, and pretend the airport hotel was Santa’s house kind of a deal, but the kids were all like my son’s age, and they went along with it. Then Sunday we had an entirely different version of Santa and Christmas, when we visited Santa at our local metropark. It was a lovely start to our morning, quiet and simple fun and full of nature, our favorite. If you follow me on Instagram, I have a few pics up!
Read Last Week:
Christmas on the Island was amazing. I smiled and cried and laughed throughout. It was a wonderful holiday read and I can’t wait for the next installment in this series! I am almost finished with A Christmas Courting – I love Regency Christmas romances!
Reading This Week:
Stefanie at Stefanie Crafts got me thinking about Harry Potter!! Now I have to pick up where I left off rereading. Then I visited Caffeinated Book Reviewer and had to read Snowed In for Christmas, which sounds really good!
Watching:
Christmas movies, The Great British Bake Off Holidays, Monty Don’s Big Dreams Small Spaces (love him)
Posted Last Week:
Sounds like an awesome trip!
I have enjoyed some Jenny Colgan books, so Christmas on the Island is going on my list.
Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

We love the Great British Bake Off. It is so good! It is just so pleasant and happy. No one argues, everyone helps one another – everyone is happy! It is definitely just a feel good show.

Oh how wonderful to go to the North Pole – of course you are not too far away from it! Wasn’t Christmas on the Island so good, and I do hope there will be another one in this series.

It was a good time for the kids! It was all perfectly well choreographed for the kids – we weren’t allowed to open the windows because it would have spoiled the illusion that we were really going there. 🙂 The kids had a blast. 🙂
I loved Christmas on the Island, so much more than I imagined it would be! It was so good.

Aw, I love that idea of a plane ride to see Santa! How fun!! I’m definitely watching lots of Christmas movies on TV. They just make me happy. I still need to start reading some holiday themed books though. I’m also in the midst of the second HP book (illustrated edition) and I need to finally finish that, so I can read the third book in the illustrated format as that’s my favorite book in the series. 🙂

It was really so cool, and such a fun experience!
I agree, Christmas movies make you all warm and fuzzy inside!
I love the Prisoner of Azkaban, and I love the Goblet of Fire. Probably my two favorites. 🙂 And the first one. Can you have three favorites..? Lol.

I get so festive feeling this time of year – and to my husband’s dismay, I become all Christmas all the time. Lol.

Ah that sounds fun! My son’s at that age where he’s starting to not believe in Santa at all. ☹️
