It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
See ya September! And hello October!

This week had its moments!! Billy worked over 60 hours, we had a storm that flooded our streets, a tornado warning, and a trip to the ER for me – I am fine though by the by. It has been crazy and hectic and tiring! But we made it through, with the help of family and lots of coffee. Needless to say, I didn’t get much reading done!! I did try to keep the boy and I as busy as I could. It’s hard to solo parent for so long! We decorated the porch a bit with fall decor, bought a few indoor plants, went to the library, played outside, and took lots of walks together – the weather was beautiful at least! Then Thursday I also hosted book club, which was as always a fun time.
And despite everything else, there was one bright shining moment in the week.

This amazing kid! First time in a walker, and he kicked butt! His therapist thought he would take one or two steps, and need a lot more support – but nope, he walked all the way across the gym room and back, and held himself up on his own! She helped keep his hands on the handles, and also stopped him from picking it up and banging it on the ground, which he learned he could do. Lol. This kid is so tough.
Reading this week:
The weather is getting chilly and October is here!! I decided to go big and read some scary stuff this week!!
Watching:
Since it has really just been me and Wyatt, I have been indulging in some just me tv. Lol. Reign and The Good Witch, mainly. I’ve also been listening to some pretty cool podcasts, one about National Parks, Lore, and a few others here and there. Anyone else listen to podcasts?
How about you? What is going on in your world?
Sounds like a crazy week. Glad you are ok. That is so awesome that he walked way more than they thought. Have a great week!

Congrats to Wyatt on his progress with his walker. Enjoy those scary books…it’s been a long time since I’ve read anything more than a simple thriller. Horror is too scary for me. LOL.
Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your week.

Thanks! He was so proud of himself! 🙂
I am not great with horror books either anymore, but I am giving it a go. I used to be a big fan and it didn’t bother me, but now, I’m a bit less brave. 🙂 Lol.

Good job, Wyatt!
Enjoy all your fall decorations and scary books. Fall comes late to south Texas. It doesn’t feel like fall will ever get here. I wish I wasn’t such a scaredy cat, but I just can’t read spooky books!

We had had some warm weather, but fall came all at once, and it has been rainy and cold. 🙂 I have become less brave about horror as I have gotten older – Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls is at least more of a romantic comedy type book with some horror. 🙂 Lol.

Sorry to hear about the ER visit, the flooding, and the tornado warning. It does sound like quite the crazy week! But oh that picture! He looks so gleeful and proud of himself. I like that Victoria Laurie series though MJ does get a little expert-y at times. It’s so much fun though that I don’t mind and all the ghost hunting is perfect for this time of year! Hope this week is proving to be more relaxing!

It was nuts!! But that smile – yes, that wiped it all away! He was so very proud of himself. 🙂 I am really enjoying the Laurie book! Although in my haste at the library I grabbed the fourth book when I haven’t read 1-3 yet! Oh well, I will go back and read them after I finish this one. Lol.
