Last week I was waiting on so many books at the library – and of course, most of them came in all at once. So I finished up Bleak Harbor (so good!) and started Where the Fire Falls. I am enjoying this read so far – I love that it takes place in Yosemite in the 20s!
Reading This Week:
I’m going to finish up Where the Fire Falls, and start Crooked House, which was my pick for our book club this month. I am looking forward to it – I have only read a few of Christie’s books but have really loved them. I need to read more!
Watching:
Anne with an E – I love this show, although it gives me great anxiety for the characters. Lol. We are also watching Land Girls on Netflix, which is really good, and the Great British Bake Off.
How about all of you? What is happening in your part of the world?
Where the Fire Falls sounds good. I think I might have already mentioned how the nightly fire falls in Yosemite were a regular part of my summers in the 1950s.
Enjoy your week and your books, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

You did share that story with me – I really loved it! I would have loved to have visited the national parks as a child. Neither of my parents are very outdoorsy – it is weird that I am! Lol.

This is the best! Today is all rainy and I get to put on my new favorite sweater. Yay!
I love that too – I think that is what drew me to these books in the first place. I have one of the old school vintage NP posters in my son’s room and I plan to buy a few more. My brother actually bought a cool Sand Dunes one when we were up north this summer too.

Omg! I jog 3.3 km every day and I can’t imagine doing 10! That is very impressive! Good for Billy. Your weekend sounds like my kind of weekend. What a blast. I hate waiting for books from the Library. 9 out of 10, I end up buying the book

I can’t imagine doing 3.3! 🙂 I think anyone who runs is amazing.
I love weekends like the one we just had. 🙂 I hate waiting too! I usually wait though, I am a no book buying ban, which was hard at first but has gotten a lot easier oddly!

Where the Fire Falls looks good! The cover reminds me of all the vintage postcards we saw at Acadia National Park in July… I wanted to frame a few. It’s been really cool for the past few days here, too. I worn socks for the first time since January, lol! Guess it’s time to start thinking about heading to Florida.

I love all that vintage National Park art! It is so cool. I have a poster in my son’s room of Sleeping Bear in that style. 🙂 Lol at your socks comment!! My dad is heading to Florida today for a quick trip, he definitely prefers the sunshine and warm weather too. 🙂

I just kind of found my way to Agatha! I am enjoying reading her, albeit slowly.

Every time I see Agatha Christie, I think of my grandmother. She used to read a lot of them and I would borrow them from her.

That is a great memory, to share an author with a loved one. 🙂

That happens to me with books I’m waitlisted for. I spend months waiting for them, and then they all come at once. I hope you enjoy your upcoming reads! I’ve only read 1 Agatha Christie book. I was in high school when I read it, so I don’t remember it very well.

I’m so ready for all the layers, soup and colder weather too – fully embracing the snippets of autumn we’ve had here so far. Sounds like a great week you’ve had.
I’m intrigued by Where the Fire Falls, plus the Christie you’re set to read for your book club is one I have my eye on.
Happy reading & a lovely week to you and your family.

What fun you’ve been having. It’s been cooler this week, high 60’s. I have shorts on today and a tank but threw a cardigan and a plaid infinity scarf on.
