Another busy week. I am ready for a slowdown! It always seems like it takes a week to recover from vacation, doesn’t it? Lol. Today we had my niece’s birthday party, and it was a great day – lots of fun outdoors, plus delicious cupcakes. It was a good way to spend a Sunday!

The Hawkweed Legacy – the sequel to Prophecy. So far it is just as good! It is a review book for Lake Union.
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark – It finally came in! Whoohoo! Now, to see if I can actually make it through it. It might scare the crap out of me. Lol.

We are hooked on it! We are not caught up and only get to watch an episode every couple of days, and in between I can’t wait to watch the next one. It’s been a while since I have read it too – I remember “whodunit” but not much of the unfolding of the mystery and clues.
I was laying in bed last night just thinking about that book – I feel like I might chicken out!! Lol.
The Hawkweed books look good. Not familiar with those! Love that first cover especially! And ooh Sharp Objects- I don’t have HBO, so no go there, but I’m gonna catch up to it at some point.
I had not heard of them until I received Legacy as a review book. I am so glad that I got it, I really enjoyed them both!
Sharp Objects is so good!! I wish I could binge watch it. Just the cinematography itself, the way it is filmed, is amazing. They are doing a great job with it.

Yes – and me in particular! I can read a book then not go back to the next in the series for a whole year. So if I jump on it, then I am really liking them. 🙂

I agree, it sounds so scary! The more I think about it, the more I think I might chicken out! Lol.
I’ll Be Gone In the Dark is worth the wait. My advice? Don’t read it at night! I listened to it and was fine in the day time, but after dark some parts were just too frightening.
I will have to try it that way! I probably couldn’t handle it once the sun goes down…lol.
