It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Hey all! So last week was just a repeat of the week before, dealing with some unpleasant side effects of medication for Wyatt. We are all hanging in there though!

Read Last Week:

Honestly, I was so exhausted that every chance I had to rest, I actually slept or listened to a book. I was just to tired to read!

I am almost done listening this one, and it is really good! I kept it cozy too, since I am on a cozy mystery binge.

Reading This Week:

I enjoyed the first in this series so much! I am looking forward to reading this one!

Listening:

Doesn’t this sound so good?? As soon as I finish up Assault and Pepper, I will start listening to this one.

Posted Last Week:

Tuesday Morning Coffee Catch Up

Book Review: Gladwynn Grant Gets Her Footing

Watching:

We didn’t watch too much! We did watch When Calls the Heart (and I am super squealy about the new season coming out soon!), Newhart, and the highlights of the Tour de France (all we have time for these days!)

And that is it from my corner of the world! How are you all doing?

  1. I finished A Wizard’s Guide to Defensive Baking and liked it so much I’m reading another of her books, Paladin’s Hope. We watched the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie…my husband loves them and is hoping for a fourth! I’ve been watching Marilyn Monroe movies, too.

I hope you have a restful and wonderful week!

  2. Without the right streaming, all you can watch are Tour highlights, for the most part. We’ve been doing the same. I think my next book might be a cozy… to be determined!

    1. Billy pays for some special package so that we can watch it… I think next year I am going to tell him to not spend the money, since all we have been able to watch the past two years are the highlights. Lol. Last July Wyatt and I had Covid!

I am really enjoying the cozy mysteries!

I hope the side effects abate soon. I have read a few books by Amanda Flower and enjoyed them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

  4. I love When Calls the Heart too ! I have to subscribe to that channel (Superchannel in Canada) separately at a premium cost and will likely do that in the Fall and binge the last few seasons! Enjoy your reads and have a great week!

The title Assault and Pepper just cracks me up! Hope the side effects level out for Wyatt and that you get some rest. Take care Erin and have a wonderful week!

  6. I have Assault and Pepper on my list to read this year. I’ve really loved other books by the author and I love the idea of a spice shop. Amanda Flowers is another favorite and I really enjoyed the series. Returning Light looks interesting. I look forward to seeing your thoughts on it. I hope Wyatt doesn’t have too much longer on the antibiotic so you can start getting rid of the side effects.

    1. A spice shop does sound really cool! That is why I picked this book, lol. I thought the setting was really neat. It reminded me of the spice shop in Grimm – well minus the monsters.

We are finally finished thank goodness!
