March 17: Green Book Covers (In honor of St. Patrick’s Day today!)
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! According to my Ancestry.com report, my DNA shows that I am 54% Irish so I am claiming it today. Lol.
And now for the green books! Most of these are books on my TBR.

Eliza Vanda’s Button Box: I can’t stand how cut this cover is! It sounds a little Mary Poppins-esque as well, and that appeals to me, since I love Mary Poppins!
Off the Beaten Path: I have been wanting to read this book since last summer, and now it is on my list for this summer. It is set in Michigan and sounds like a fun read!
The Bewitching: This is one I did read, and I absolutely loved it.

Vanishing Fleece: I am obsessed with sheep lately. I don’t know what is happening with that but if a book has a sheep on it, I want to read it.
An Irish Country Village: I picked this one for the cover. I did try to read the first in this series years ago and found it sort of boring, but I should probably try again.
Truckers: The First Book of the Nomes: I said I wanted to read Pratchett this year, and apparently I do better with his children’s books. Lol. Wyatt and I read Dragons of Crumbling Castle which was really cute and I think we are going to read this one as well.

Argyles and Arsenic: This is book five in the Highland Bookshop Mystery Series, which is on my list. I just need to get started on them!
Small Things Like These: I have not read this one yet. It seems like it would be very emotionally powerful and I need to ready myself before those types of books!
Mad Mabel: This green cover is a hard one to find! I like it better than the red cover, but I am not about to pay $50 bucks for it! Lol.

A is for Arsenic: So the whole cover might not be green, but the design and style make the green bottle just pop and I love it. I have this one on my list for the nonfiction challenge! This cover version is also expensive and difficult to find! I don’t know why they wouldn’t just use this one; this one is just so much more dramatic!
And that is it from me today! I can’t wait to see everyone else’s, although it will be later this week when I have the opportunity!
I love the green covers you chose. Vanishing Fleece is one of my favorites, and I also have The Bewitching on my TBR😁

Vanishing Fleece looks so good! And that cover is adorable.

In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams is mostly green (or maybe 1/2 green). This would have been hard for me as most of my favorite green covered books are part of a series (and I hate breaking up a series to just list one or two!).

Green is my favorite color so I think that I am drawn to books with green covers more. Lol. And I understand that!

You can’t go wrong with Claire Keegan. Some are sad but always such good writing, bringing you into the scene. I also had a Patrick Taylor book ages ago and thought it would be more like the James Herriot stories…but I got bored. Same as you, I like the cover and love reading about Irish settings so…maybe try again one day.

Lots of nice great covers here but I think my favourite of the bunch is Eliza Vanda’s Button Box! Great picks 🙂

It doesn’t look as if I have read many books with green covers in the last few months. I read the Keegan book, but with a different cover. Interesting mix!

I really liked The Bewitching, but I liked Mexican Gothic better. And, it has a green cover! I also like Sally Hepworth so I’m going to look for that one!

I don’t know which one I liked better! The Bewitching had some slow parts, so maybe Mexican Gothic. The Sally Hepworth usually has a red cover!

Re: sheep books, have you ever read by Leonie Swann? I think there’s going to be a movie now, or is already, but it used to be more niche… Detective story where sheep are the detectives!

Yes! I saw that one! It is on my list. Lol. Thank you though!

I put this in the wrong text box and it replied to someone. Oops. Feel free to delete former comment placement .

It was boring! LOL. I am glad I wasn’t the only person who thought that. I feel like it has potential though, so maybe it won’t feel that way another time.

I recently read Show Me Where It Hurts by Claire Gleeson and I think Claire Keegan’s works might be in a similar vein, so I’d love to give them ago but I also think I need to some mental preparation first.

Some books just need that! You know it is going to be an emotional read, so some metal prep needs to happen first.

I enjoyed MAD MABEL. I’ve never seen that cover before, and it makes me laugh because the little girl looks a lot like my mischevious 2-year-old granddaughter, LOL.
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
