This one is for all the women out there – let’s celebrate ourselves this month, and remember the voices of these strong women who came before us, leaving us with such strong words. So love yourselves, and treat yourselves kindly.
I don’t need to add anything, they speak for themselves.

I learned from making this post that I really really need to read more Woolf. Where should I begin? Any suggestions?
And let’s all do ourselves a favor, and READ these authors and poets, which is more important than anything else to represent them – although that is fun. However, the source, the books, that is where the magic and strength and inspiration really is. Let’s keep their words and spirits alive!
You had me at Mary Oliver! Lots of fun things here, Erin!

I feel like I need to research more of these strong women; I’m realizing I’ve only read a few works that fall into this category!

Excellent selection! And that bunting ❤
I’ve never read any Woolf! But I have long been a fan of Austen and Montgomery, and (Charlotte) Bronte 🙂 I do have Wuthering Heights on my list for the year, after devouring The Favorites.

I am in love with that Mary Oliver bunting. I keep thinking about it. Like do I need it? Where would I put it? Lol.
I said I need to read more Woolf, but I think I actually need to read Woolf in general. I don’t think I have either. I was looking at her books on the library site and none were familiar. It feels like I should have read her in college, but apparently not.
Was The Favorites good then? I see everyone reading it!

It was really good – better than I anticipated actually, haha… It’s a wild read, lots of drama, and the figure skating stuff is so good. It read like a Taylor Jenkins Reid novel to me (not a bad thing, just the best comparison I can think of) 🙂

Great choices!
I’m so sure I have “Orlando”, but I can’t find it in my catalog. I’ll have to go through my shelves, but if I read it, it was so many years ago, I probably wouldn’t remember anything.

I was reviewing her books online, and I don’t think I have read any! I figured I had read at least one, at some point. Lol.

Oh, you had me with the Emily Bronte mug! Wuthering Heights is my all time number one book! For my birthday one year, Mike had my favorite quote printed on bigger than a poster size paper and then framed it. It hangs in our bedroom. I keep hearing Mary Oliver, but I haven’t read anything by her. I need to look into that. I’ve read Mrs. Dalloway and have to admit I don’t get the hype. But, I’d love to have a book talk with anyone who wants to give one! Should we add Harper Lee to the list? There are so many strong women, and we need to emulate them now more than ever!

I love that your husband knows you that well that he could do that! That is so sweet!!
Oh, you must read Mary Oliver!! You will love her, I think!
I was thinking about reading A Room of One’s Own to start with, which I guess is an essay not a book, but I figured a good place to begin.
Harper Lee would be a fantastic addition!
