Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! We had a fairly busy week this week, but the best part of the week was Wyatt kicking butt at therapy! The weather this week was also cool which was amazing – fall was definitely in the air but then summer came back and said not quite yet, bringing back the heat.
Read Last Week:

I loved both of these books. Vera Wong was so cute and made me laugh (and even cry at one point) and I just adored it. Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop was also a very good book. It was more serious, and more thoughtful. I enjoyed it but at a much slower pace so that I could really think about what I was reading.
Reading This Week:

I needed something with a bit of a bite this week so I went with The Midnight Feast. I loved Lucy Foley’s The Hunting Party and I am looking forward to this one. Also, Wyatt has been really into graphic novels lately and I found myself picking some up for me as well. I loved the first Tea Dragon book so I figured I would finish the series and picked up books 2 and 3.

Friday Morning Coffee Catch Up – Wyatt therapy updates here!
Watching and Listening:
We are so boring with this lately. But, we are getting ready to watch the first of our Comfy Cozy Cinema movies! Yay!! Last year Lisa from Boondock Ramblings and I watched movies and posted about them and we are doing that again this year. Most had cozy fall feels but nearer to Halloween we did throw some scarier ones in there, making a few weeks Comfy Cozy (Creepy) Cinema. We do that this year too. I am very excited to start our lineup; there are just so many good ones on the list! And like last year, feel free to watch along and post with us! We will post a linky this year. Oh and we are having a giveaway as well, in October for a fall type care package full of things you need to be cozy so watch for that too.
If you are interested, this is the lineup! The linky will be up on the posting date, which is the date listed here. It is coming up fast!

And this is it from around here this week! I hope you all are doing well!
I’ve wanted to read both Lucy Foley and that Vera Wong book.
The comfy cozy watching looks fun! I liked Chocolat both the film and book.
Enjoy your week!

The Midnight Feast is so good!! I had to put it down because I had to do actual life things and I just want to read instead. Boo.
I loved Chocolat too!!

I have enjoyed the Lucy Foley books I’ve read. The Hunting Party in particular. I am looking forward to The Midnight Feast. Have you read The Paris Apartment? That’s another on hold for Kindle loan at the library.
Thanks for the good wishes you sent me 🙂

I loved the Hunting Party! I read it as my first book of the year I think last year, on NYD and it was such a good read. I am devouring this one too. I cant’ stop with the food/eating analogies with the book and I need to stop. LOL. I have not read The Paris Apartment and I should!

I haven’t read either the Vera Wong book of the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop book, but I’m pretty sure I’d love both of these.
The Comfy Cozy Cinema sounds wonderful. (If you haven’t seen it, one of my favorites that would definitely fit this theme is Enchanted April…though, of course, it would better work in the spring.)
I’m especially glad Wyatt had such a good week.

I loved them both. They are very different but both so good. Vera Wong is definitely a feel good book.
I love watching all these movies like this. I am super excited about it. I think we are going to have a few (or one) watch parties. (or party lol)

Top ten Tuesday looks fun – I do love a good list 😉 Glad your boy is doing well with his therapy – suffering through kid stuff we can’t do much about is the worst!

Congrats to Wyatt! I wish fall was coming. It’s still in the 90s here. I’m tired of it.

Thanks Aj!! We actually have a heat advisory here today and it is not fun. Hopefully the cooler weather will be here to stay soon, for both of us!

It is really good. I it sort of introspective – all the characters are in the process of change. I liked it!
And I don’t know how we started the movie thing but it’s been a lot of fun! I think we might even do a watch party or two this year!

That is a good movie list! How do you find those — do you have those in your movie collection? We are having a 50 degree rainy day — and it feels freezing! Wild. Enjoy your week.

I usually search for them to watch anywhere streaming! Sometimes it is a challenge. Lol. Wow!! That must have felt crazy!!

We finished with our lovely false all and are now back to temps in the high 90s. I’m a bit ready to be done with that! So glad you loved Vera and I’m adding the other to my list. The Teadragon looks really cute and I love that Wyatt’s been into graphic novels. Has he looked at any of the Pusheen books? Those are the only books that Will reads willingly – though I think there’s only 3. I hope you’re having a great week!

I did love Vera!! You were totally right, it was adorable and I loved the found family.
He has not – I should look into those!
