Hello everyone! I hope the past week treated you well! We had an easier week, just one specialist appointment for Wyatt, and lots of playing, and nightly evening walks for Billy and I while Wyatt rides his little Rifton adaptive bike! Guys, he loves it so much! It took a doctor, a therapist, a social worker, and me a ton of paperwork to get it, but once that was all completed, we got it in two weeks! It was absolutely crazy how fast it was approved and got here!
Read Last Week:

This book was such a hoot! It cracked me up and also gave me a little anxiety. LOL.
Reading This Week:

I am waiting for this Karen White book to come in. The library shows it “in transit” on my account so it should be here soon, so I will start with This Wicked Fate, the sequel to This Poison Heart. For some reason all of my YA and Middle Grade holds are coming in to the library like crazy wildfire and piling up and my actual adult books are slowly trickling in.
Posted Last Week:
My Sorta, Kinda, Camping Shopping List
A Full Father’s Day: Classic Cars and a Picnic
Tuesday Morning Coffee Catch Up
Watching and Listening:
Billy and I watched School Spirits, which was actually a lot better than we had thought it was going to be. I am sucked in and need answers! We also finished up the American version of Ghosts, which we also really like. (we were all about ghosts apparently this past week) We also are still continuing our rewatch of Death in Paradise. We are in the Humphrey Years right now.
We didn’t watch any movies but we have a fun cheesy campy July of movies coming up. We decided to fully embrace shark week this year, and are doing like a shark month. Jaws, The Meg, Shark Night, Deep Blue Sea… we are just going shark wild. Wyatt and I are starting a bit of summer school starting July 10th and we are going to do some shark stuff as part of our studies as well. I am pretty excited, I love a campy summer movie binge!
I am behind on some of my favorite YouTubers! Darling Desi, who I have mentioned before, Forgotten Way Farms, The Cottage Fairy, among others all have new videos that I haven’t watched. I am thinking Wyatt might get a trip to Grandma’s this week and I can stay home and fold laundry and catch up. Or I will tell Billy to go play video games at night or something and catch up. Either way, I am catching up!
Listening. Old stuff still mostly. Wyatt has decided this is a new favorite song of his. Pretty sure I loved this one at his age too. I mainly put on a playlist and roll but Wyatt has actual requests, and this is a frequent one. Sometimes at 7 am.
And that is from around here! What has been going on in your world?
I’ve heard such great things about Dial A for Aunties!

Me too!! This one is taking so long to get to me, and makes me regret getting 99.9% of my books from the library. Lol.

I’m glad Wyatt is enjoying his wheels!
I’m close to phobic about sharks so I’m not a fan of shark week, but I hope you all enjoy it.
Wishing you a great reading week

He loves his bike so much. It makes my heart so happy.
I would probably be a lot more freaked out by them if I lived near where they live….

We’ve been hot and I’ve been reading a lot as I haven’t had much work (I have things looming so it’s all fine). We had a problem with one of our front door locks yesterday which means I’ve been home alone anyway as Mr Liz was taking his mum away for a few days of respite from being his dad’s carer, but also shut in the house as there’s no way of double-locking it with the big bolt. I’m OK from the inside as have a chain and a big Edwardian push-across bolt but not so sure about outside. Anyway, lots of people helped us the day we had the problem, my friend Sam dropped by yesterday with some milk for me and my friend Gill who I usually meet at the cafe on a Sunday came round (which did mean lots of housework in the morning!). Should get mended tomorrow so keep everything crossed for that (Matthew will be home too).

I hope it gets mended soon! That would be tricky! At least you are safe when you are inside, that is the most important. And I hope your MIL had a wonderful respite. 🙂

Fortunately the guy came round earlier than expected this morning and it’s all done! And yes, Matthew’s mum enjoyed her little break and all was fine when she got back home, too. Thank you.

I like the American version of Ghosts, although I think the British version is better. I’m glad Wyatt is enjoying his new bike! Here’s my SP: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2023/06/25/sunday-post-lots-of-cabbage/

I like both versions, but in an unusual move for me, I like the American version better! I am usually team UK with television so it is odd. I think it is because I really like Rose McIver. She cracks me up.

Yay Wyatt and his Rifton adaptive bike!!! Have you posted a picture of him riding it? I’ll scroll back and see.
Thanks for the reminder to add Dial A For Aunties to my TBR.
Shark Week! A couple years ago I discovered those Sharknado movies and they are so fun! Also love The Meg. Isn’t there a new one just out or coming out soon?

I have a great video up on Instagram if you have it! Even if not you can see it, I’m public. I just can’t figure out how to put it in the post.
There is!! My husband says it comes out in August, so we will probably finish up our shark movie month with it. Lol.

I’m thrilled that Wyatt was able to get his bike so quickly. Sometimes everything works out like it should.
And I’m glad to see how much you enjoyed A is for Aunties. I wonder if you will read more of the series.

Yes! I was so amazed and the timing was so perfect for him to use it for months and months still!
It was a fun quick read! I will probably read more of the series but I probably won’t right away. I am so weird about series books, I tend to not read the sequels right away unless I am in love with the series. It’s a clear sign of how much I love a book, if I plow through the series or take my time.

Yay! So glad Wyatt loves his adaptive bike. We have one in our school classroom, and one of our kids really took a liking to it this past year. Ghosts is a favorite show in my house too. So charming!

I hope you enjoy The House on Prytania Street as much as I did and now I anxiously await the next book. Isn’t Jolene a hoot?! Those Southern girls and their manners are formidable, lol! Looking forward to your thoughts.
I love cheesy shark thrillers even though Jaws scared the heck out of me when I was young and I was afraid a shark would come out of our pool drain and eat us! I still have fears swimming in the ocean if I can’t see beneath me. Haha!

He is so in love with it. 🙂 I just walk around grinning while he is biking away. it makes me so happy as well.
I will hopefully be awaiting the next one soon! The House on Prytania needs to come in soon. LOL. Jolene cracks me up!! All that about the plastic Barbie head in the first book made me laugh so hard. I remember those!! Jolene would also not approve of my attire or lack of makeup.
Oh my gosh right!! I don’t get to the ocean very often but I would totally be thinking shark too.

Hurray for the bike and Wyatt loving it! It’s so wonderful you got it so fast! We just finished Lockwood & Co…I think you might find it right up your alley…ghosts and lots of action. I do hope there’s a second season.
Are you going to read the rest of the Aunties books? They are just as zany! As for shark week, that is one of my guilty pleasures. I like the shark shows, but I have never seen Jaws and don’t ever want to. I like going in the ocean too much…but then there’s that flesh eating bacteria which I’m sure would find me!
Have a fabulous week, Erin!

We watched that show and loved it! You are right it was right up our alley. I think Netflix cancelled it though!!
I am going to read them for sure! They were so fun and I want to see where the next book goes.
Lol! If I went to the ocean more often I would probably be more freaked out. I am actually not an “open water” swimmer too much, there is just too much that freaks me out. I have a weird fear of fish!

I loved Vera Wong by the same author as A for Aunties so I really need to try that book. I’m so glad Wyatt is enjoying his bike and what a fun way to have some family time. So glad you were able to get through all the red tape for that. I want to try Ghosts and was going to try the BBC version. It looks really good. Have a great week!
