It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
Last week was an amazing week! Wyatt took his first steps independent of Billy and I – usually we have a hand on him somewhere or another, but this time it was all on his own steam, with the aid of his new walker! Billy and I cried happy tears, while Wyatt told us proudly that he was “big!”.
We kept this weekend low-key. We took Wyatt out to use his walker more, and then this morning we went for a family hike, this time with Wyatt riding high in our new (to us) Kelty hiking backpack carrier. What a world changer for all of us – all of this! So much more mobility and exploration ahead for us all!
Read Last Week:
I read and reviewed The Cliff House by RaeAnne Thayne (thanks Little Bird publicity!) and ducked back into read Little Dribbling. I am really enjoying this read so much that I have slowed down on it, not wanting it to end. I read so much more non-fiction these days than I ever did!
Reading This Week:
Girl Most Likely: I am working on review books, trying to catch up lately, and I am really looking forward to this one. I am in a thriller kind of mood these days – I blame all the Criminal Minds we are watching!
Posted Last Week:
I was scattered with many things going on last week so just one
Watching:
Criminal Minds (Netflix – we have never watched this old show before!), Shakespeare and Hathaway, and The Order – which I am loving!! It totally reminds me of Buffy or Angel.
What about you all? What is going on in your world?
How great for Wyatt…and for you. Enjoy your outings.
I am drawn to Girl Most Likely. Enjoy your week, and here are

My heart was so full that moment!! 🙂
Oo we are loving The Order! It’s one where we are bummed when we don’t have time to watch multiple episodes! I also think the main character Jack looks a lot like young Luke Skywalker (the OG Mark Hamill) and now I watch it comparing it to Star Wars – and I find some parallels. Maybe I can just find Star Wars in anything… lol.

And the guy who played Max Headroom is in it! I love that guy. I feel like you may be able to catch that reference, and remember that show, like I do. Lol.

I do remember Max Headroom! I don’t think I ever watched it, but I knew of it, and I think I know exactly who you’re talking about haha!

It’s been a great few days! 🙂 The Order is so good so far!! I think it has a great blend of mystery/supernatural/cheesy. Lol. And the guy who played Max Headroom (blast from the way way back past) is in it and I always love him. Lol.

I enjoyed The Cliff House and agree with your review that it had a different feel from her usual books. I really enjoyed it though I love her regular romances. Yay for Wyatt and for getting outside! Sounds like a fun time! Have a great week!

It took me a minute to get used to the different feel and tone. Once I settled in though, I enjoyed it. I love her books too. 🙂
And thank you!

That is so exciting for you all and such a joy. Hope the pack back brings much happy hiking once the good weather arrives for you. I have a post coming up too for The Cliff House. I am not much of a thriller reader but if I do get into one they certainly draw me in.

I really think it will open up a whole new world for my son honestly. I am so excited to get out there and use it again!
I will have to check out your thoughts on The Cliff House!

Hi Erin,
You do know that your reading time is going to be seriously curtailed now that Wyatt has found his feet. He will be running rings around you in no time and you are going to spend your days chasing him about the place – I’ll bet you can’t wait, you must be so proud of him 🙂
The reviews for ‘Girl Most Likely’ have been pretty mixed so far, but personally I enjoyed the book and I particularly liked the way that I was drawn into the killer’s world, when their (Oops! almost made that last comment gender specific and dropped a huge spoiler) chapters were written in the third person. I shall look forward to reading your own review and thoughts.
Have a great week and Happy Reading 🙂

Yvonne, your message really touched me! Thank you for all your kind words about Wyatt – and I didn’t even think about that! You are probably so right. Lol. And definitely right about me not caring about it, we have been waiting a long time now. We are so proud. 🙂
Thank you again!! And I am planning on getting some good reading time in during the next two days on Girl Most Likely! 🙂
