This week was yet again another busier than I wanted week. Things should be much much better by next week – and we will have air conditioning too! Yay! Today we are camping out at my mom’s while a new furnace and a/c unit are installed – Wyatt is actually coloring with my mom right now as I type.

Read Last Week/Reading This Week:

Nothing. I was dismal at reading last week. I had so many good intentions but they went out the window sadly. I have high hopes for this week though. I am switching my plan – I think I need something not so serious and Bacchanal is sitting on my Kindle. I love this cover!

Posted Last Week:

A Cup of Morning Coffee

Italy in July

Our Butterfly Project #4 (look for #5 this Tuesday instead of Wednesday!)

Watching:

The Tour de France, and last week I also watched Shark Week! I love shark week and I have been watching it for longer than I would care to say.

Super short post today! How are you guys doing?

  1. I have no idea what Bacchanal is but it does not look like my type of book. I could be totally wrong, of course, because I have been in the past.

I think I might actually finish three books this week. It’s a miracle. We will see how distracted I get.

Right we are enjoying a drop in temps (finally!) but I have a feeling they will be back up the rest of the week.

  2. Bacchanal looks like it will be a great read. Beautiful cover.

I’m sorry you didn’t get any reading done last week. It’s a miracle that I did, with our house stuffed full of people!

Our new air conditioner cut our bills in half. Our old one, to its credit, kept us going for thirty years, and that’s something.

  3. I hope you HVAC gets setup soon. We went through that last year the whole month of June. I found it hard to be productive when I was too hot, and didn’t sleep well either. I find changing book genres keeps me happily reading.

  4. With the heat and humidity where I live there is no way I, or anyone I know could live without a/c. We’d all be finding a hotel room.

I’m in another reading slump but my audio reads are going strong. I just finished The Invisible Husband of Frick Island and now am listening to Falling by T. J. Newman. Frick Island was a 5* and Falling so far is one of the best books I’ve read in a very long time.

I hope you have a great week!

    1. I think I am in a slump! I feel like I just can’t get into anything right now. Maybe it is just summer and I am interested in different things right now? The heat making me lazy? Whatever it is, I wish it would end. Lol. That Frick Island book keeps catching my eye!
