Last fall I found The Parisienne Farmgirl, or Angela, on Youtube and could not stop watching! I was obviously late to the party since she has over 50 thousand followers on YouTube alone – which should attest to what a great channel she has and what fantastic content she produces. But thankfully that also means she has a huge backlist of videos to watch and blog posts to read – not to mention her cookbooks and now, her podcast with another of my favorites, Shay from The Elliot Homestead, called Homemaker Chic. Angela lives on an island in Wisconsin, homeschools her children, runs basically a farm, and manages to have style and fashion and flair, all the while looking stylish and having a great attitude. She is truly goals. Her lifestyle posts are truly aspirational!
Her home is insanely beautiful – she and her husband have completely renovated it to look like a northern French farmhouse, and it is lovely!
Her food looks amazing too.. it’s no wonder she has written cookbooks!
Billy and I are actually going to attempt to make macarons this month – we will see how we do!
And then, my favorite, her gardens.. and geese!
I always felt like French style had to be so uptight and fussy – and while some of it is definitely stylized, I have learned that it can be easier to achieve that I had previously thought. And Angela’s down-to-earth and funny personality, and yes joie de vivre make watching her videos and listening to her podcast a treat – especially as I am usually watching and listening as I do such fun things as folding laundry or doing dishes. I have not yet embraced red lips – those are my friend Kelly’s signature anyway. However I will drink the red wine and bake the bread and listen and learn and there is always room to dream and change things up!

Those fantasies about life in France always amuse me. I hope you’ll also check some sources that actually have real French people and French homes in them. But there’s nothing wrong with imagining whatever you want to imagine.

I have a few different things planned for this month, and yes some are “real” to use your terms. The description of this event however, from last year states:
The aim of the month is to celebrate our French experiences through actual visits, or through reading, watching, listening, observing, cooking and eating all things French! Here’s a link to some of my previous reviews.
There will be no rules or targets in terms of how much you need to do or complete in order to be a part of this experience – just blog about anything French and you can join in! Some ideas might include;
reading a French themed book – fiction or non-fiction,
watching a French movie,
listening to French music,
cooking French food,
experiencing French, art, architecture and travel
I feel that this post meets the qualifications listed here, as it is applies to anything French themed. Thanks for your thoughts though.

This is a wonderful post for me to share with my sister. She’s planning her retirement home right now, and she’s decided that she wants to make her home a French-themed one. I think she will enjoy taking a look at the Parisienne Farmgirl. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I will check it out. Love these kinds of youtube channels. Must admit I am almost addicted. There are different French styles, and I think this might be one I would like as well.

She is so fun to watch! She spent time living in Paris and in France, as well as just visiting many times before she had her children. She brought home some of her love for the country and the city and incorporates in her own way here – along with some great Paris flea market finds! I hope you like it. I am addicted to these types of channels as well. Lol!! Thanks for visiting, I will pop over!

Thanks for sharing I’ll have to check her out. I made macarons a couple of years back but they ending up being a jumbo version, they were just far too big, they still tasted lovely though!

Well that’s all that matters in the end, that they tasted good! My husband tried a few years ago too, and they were really flat so not sure what happened. They tasted good as well! Lol
