My Sunday-Monday Post!

My Sunday Post is hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Sunday Salon is hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz

As my family tried to ease back into routine, it was still a difficult week with much to do. We had a pretty good weekend though, starting with a bbq at my brother’s on Friday night. He has a new puppy and a great yard, and it was a lovely evening. Summer is here, finally, I think. (fingers crossed) The boyo has three days left of school, and I am looking forward to having him home again. I hope to do lots of cool stuff this summer!

Read Last Week:

Last week I read and reviewed and gave away a copy of Montauk, which was excellent! I really enjoyed it. I also tried to read The Summoning but couldn’t get into it so it became a DNF, sadly.

Reading This Week:

I think I am in need of a little summer reading and I ran across this book in a Facebook group that I belong to called The Romance of Reading. It sounded perfect so I am giving it a whirl!

Posted Last Week:

Book Review: Montauk by Nicola Harrison

Watching:

I’m afraid our television watching is not that thrilling right now – still Criminal Minds on Netflix. Lol.

How about you all? What is going on in your neighborhood?

I tried a Heather Graham and I wasn’t a fan, so I’m not surprised you had a DNF. Bummer.

Criminal Minds is all kinds of fun! I’m currently binge watching The Big Bang Theory so my TV life isn’t exciting either, but I’m laughing a lot. 🙂

    1. I’ve read a few that were ok, good for just some casual easy reading, but this one was really not good one bit. 😦 I rarely say that about a book!

I am addicted and can’t believe we had never watched it before! I love Dr. Reid. Lol. And I binged Big Bang Theory the year my son was born, such a good show!

  2. It’s finally summer at the lake, too! We got our docks in today and hope to get the boat out of winter storage sometime this week. Love the cover of Montauk and it sounds like a good book… another one for the list.

    1. You are in the home stretch! I feel like the end of the year is a marathon to the finish line. LOL.

I am not a big reader of contemporary romance but I do read one every month or so. 🙂 I have a few authors I read and then occasionally branch out. 🙂 I am glad to hear that this is a good one!

  3. The library where I work will switch to summer hours next week, so we’ll get out at 8 instead of 9 on our evening shifts. Unfortunately, we also have to go in an hour earlier! haha
I like an occasional romance and The Matchmakers sounds cute. I hadn’t heard of it before.

  4. I just caught up with your post from last week – sorry to hear of your loss, but lovely that your family are so together at this time.

It sounds like you’re looking forward to summer… I am here too. This was the first year my son has done full time school, and I’m definitely looking forward to the extended break over summer. The UK breaks up a lot later than US schools though. I’m sure you’ll get up to a bunch of fun things!

    1. Thank you, it was a real shock. He was a great man and is much missed. 😦

Wyatt was only part time half day this year – I can’t imagine all day yet. I feel like that would be so freeing on some level, to have all that time, but I would also miss his little face. When do you guys get out? Pretty soon I hope!

  5. There is something so relaxing about lovely weather and being outside. It’s been a bit rainy here this week but still nice. I’m sorry to hear that about The Summoning. I am listening to the series on audiobook though and the narrator is amazing. The stories have been up/down. Have a wonderful week!
