It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Sunday Salon is hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz

Hi everybody! I hope you had a great week! I didn’t get a ton of reading done, as I was healing up from a wee accident, but I did get some good time with my son! I had a lot of time to make plans for the rest of the month, and I am super excited about some of our ideas! I also caught up on Game of Thrones, holy cow!! That last episode….wow!! I can’t wait until tonight!

Read Last Week:

This was a NetGalley read that I picked because..well..New Orleans! I will almost always pick up a book set there. And Caitlin Galway killed it when creating an atmosphere – she can set a mood and a feeling, that is for sure! Review soon.

Reading This Week:

I forgot I had The View from Alameda Island to read! I am happy I forgot honestly, I think it is the perfect week to read it. I am also still rereading Watership Down, my favorite. Love those plucky clever tough rabbits.

Posted Last Week:

Tin Can Tourists

Closing the Door on April

Watched:

Springwatch on our Britbox, Game of Thrones, Criminal Minds, lots of Winnie the Pooh, Buzzfeed Unsolved

What about all of you? What’s been going on in your world?

  1. I have a long way to go with GOT. I haven’t had time to sit and watch. I started a present for the tween’s teacher but it’ll be for end of the year. She and I will probably make her brownies for teacher appreciation next week.

      1. Here they celebrate teacher appreciation the whole week. Flowers today (which we didn’t do), tomorrow is supposed to be a handmade card, Wednesday a healthy treat although ours will be brownies. Thursday is wear your teacher’s favorite color and Friday is high five or smile w/or at your teacher. They get fed every day also.

  2. That sure was a nasty accident and from the bruising and damage I can tell it was painful and now tiddly little thing. Big ouch. Would love to see that bike sometime so do share a photo of it. I thought it was going to be a bike accident!! The Robyn Carr book should be a light read, I enjoyed it.

    1. It was pretty crazy!! I thought maybe Wyatt would be afraid of my bruising but instead I caught him trying to color his face with crayons. Lol. He is silly. 🙂

I will! It needs a little shining up but once we pretty it up I will post a photo! 🙂

I started it today, and it really is perfect for this week for me. I am sort of anxious and ready for the *big thing* to happen though!

  3. OMG, I missed the earlier post about your accident – yikes!! Our rear door swings sideways, but I’m always nervous about walking into the rack when the bikes aren’t on it. I’ll bet those bruises will be with your for a while 😦

    1. Yes!! Me too honestly. I think we really will try to remove it every time we take the bikes off; it’s a pain but I am a little nervous now! I am healing and it’s looking a lot better but I am ready to look like me again. Lol.

Sorry to hear about your accident. I hope the bruising is fading. I also like books set in New Orleans. I’ve only visited once but enjoyed myself immensely. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. They are definitely improving!

I love New Orleans! I haven’t been since Hurricane Katrina (we were there a week before it hit!) but it is one of my favorite places to go. I think we have been about 4 times, twice in November which was a really nice time to go. 🙂
