Last week was my son’s spring break, and despite my efforts, it was rare I made it to my laptop or had time to read. My husband worked quite a bit as well, so it was mostly me and my little buddy everyday. We actually had a blast – the weather was wonderful, and we were outside or hanging out with friends most of the time. I also had book club on Thursday at my house, which was a MUCH needed mom break. I hope to share some of our humble staycation adventures and book club shenanigans this week!
Read Last Week/Reading This Week..
I made little starts on two books..
I am super excited to read Finale in the Caraval series. I was able to download it and begin reading but like I said, I just didn’t have a lot of time. And I grabbed The Witch of Willow Hall when Wyatt and I went to get library books for him last week and I started reading that as well – it is really good so far! Since I only really started these books, I am still reading them this week. We resume our normal schedule and routine starting tomorrow, and while I have to play some catch up around the house and on some projects I will hopefully have more reading time.
Posted Last Week:
I figured I wouldn’t have a lot of blogging time so I prepped last Sunday, in a rare flash of organization! I hope to get a few new posts up this week too.
What Wyatt’s Reading: March Edition
Watching:
Criminal Minds. Home Town, really not too much honestly
How about you? What is happening in your world right now?
I’d love to hear what your son is enjoying. I’m glad you had time together over spring break, even though it did slow down your personal reading.
I’d like to invite you to share your post each week at Sunday Salon and join in the conversations there, too. I’ve just taken over this meme and I hope to use it to encourage more book talk in the world. The linky will be posted each Saturday on my blog and on Facebook. I hope you will share your post each week at Sunday Salon and join in the conversations there. I’ve just taken over this meme and I hope to use it to encourage more book talk in the world.

Thanks! We had so much fun – he is such a good kid. Although, I really did need that break with my friends for book club…lolol.
And I will do that! Right now, in fact. 🙂 Thanks! More book talk is always a good thing.

A nice mix of time with friends and time with your little buddy. Outdoors in nice weather is the best. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog. Have a great upcoming week.

Finale reminds me I need to read that Garber series one of these here days haha!

Lol! I really enjoyed the series! I feel like it would be a pretty cool movie. I think it could be very visual. 🙂
And this spring weather!!! Yay!

Can’t wait to see what you think of the witch one; you know I love my witches. You did good during Wyatt’s spring break, taking a break from here. I may do that also when the dames are off. Two more freakin’ weeks; are we there yet?

It was good to get a bit of a break – I was able to do a lot more “mental work” to prepare for my return honestly. Now I have a huge to do list but that is ok. Lol.
I am loving it even though it is scaring me!! LOL. I have two more witch books coming up this month actually! I am on a bit of a witch trend I guess. Two more weeks until break? You will make it!!

My kids have two weeks holiday either side of Easter, luckily they no longer need me to entertain them though, I imagine they will mostly sleep til noon and then eat everything in the fridge and cupboard.
Have a great reading week 🙂

I can’t even imagine what that is like! Sleeping until noon sounds amazing – Wyatt gets up at 7 am everyday, ready to play! Lol.
Thanks Shelleyrae!

That sounds amazing! I was just telling my husband yesterday that I wish we could just zoom out to see the superbloom somehow lol. The pictures are so gorgeous and I know they must look insane in person.
